Overall

Beautiful long hair ladies who bought Groupon - here's extra fine print that Paul Mitchell The School omitted and misrepresented themselves.

IF you bought the TREATMENT package, please note that:

They will charge you extra $5 per ampule for the treatment depending on the length and thickness of your hair.

They insisted that, this is under the fine print on Groupon, under COLOR, which made me question their principles and work ethics.

IF you have bought the treatment and have thick luscious long hair, and did not experience the same situation as me, that is great! Maybe we dealt with different staffs? And this will make me question again their work ethics.

The staffs who assist me with my experiences are 1) Jennifer - trainer, 2) Jamal - assistant manager, 3) Darlene? Oh Miss Darlene (I think thats her name) is real mean. Because after Jennifer and Jamal, they sent Darlene? to talk to me in an impolite manner.

So unfortunately, I will have to rate this place as a 1 star.

horrible!

I got a level 2 butcher. I do not recommend this hell hole. the hair cut I got should have taken an hour at most, but took 2, and very well could have taken more. my hair butcher spent the whole time talking with her friends, taking pictures with her friends, and greeting other friends than on my hair. she left me in my chair halfway through to attend her friends graduation. I was beyond appalled. let alone my hair turned out horrible, she cut my layers too short, the side swept bangs too short.. I'm gunna have to walk around with an 80s mullet until my hair grows out. I wouldn't recommend anything here. if they teach their students to treat clients this way, no one will be hired. and yeah I had to still pay for the butcher job, and left in tears. terrible. terrible.

I would NOT recommend this bea...

I would NOT recommend this beauty school. I went in for a blond color with highlights. After 3 hours what I received was orange hair. The trainer said she was sorry and asked if I would be willing to come back the next day to receive the highlights and have orange fixed. I said I would. After another 3 hours, I then received ash brown hair with orange roots. Once again they said they were sorry and asked if I would come back.... NOOOOOO thank you. I know this is a training school so the 3 hours is understandable, but even the trainer didn't know what went wrong or how to fix it. She had to call over another trainer to ask what should have been done. I then had to go to another salon and fortunantly they were able to fiix my mess. So I would again not recommend this salon at all!!!!!!

A Great way to get a great Deal!

This is a great way to get a good deal on an awesome haircut. The stylists are all still in school so you are also helping them to receive their needed training. Despite the fact that they are still in school they know their stuff and do a great job. They all do very well at listening to what you want and offering their own advice and expertise. Plus, the price is great considering the quality level of service you get. The only downside is the parking can be a nightmare, especially during weekdays. But this isn't really their fault since the parking lot is shared with several other businesses and HCC is across the street. So show up a few minutes early ready to drive around and hunt and you'll be fine. Other than that though this is a great place!

A Great $10 Haircut!

I was in dire need for a haircut but had very little funds. Instead of going to my usual place and spending $80 for a shampoo, cut and trim I decided to bargain hunt and try this place. They apparently take appointments only at certain times so make sure you call for an appointment. The place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The inside was big and spacious with very high ""loft"" like ceiling. I filled out some paperwork and was told to wait. Three people came in after me but got helped first, that was annoying but I only had to wait 15 minutes maybe. My girl Rosie was super nice and cute. She explained to me that the ""director"" would have to come by every now and then to check on her cuts. I got a shampoo and when I was reset she called the director. Rosie seemed confident and was very nice and sweet. I didn’t feel like a guinea pig or anything. There were students working on mannequin heads and there were plenty of other customers getting their hair done. Overall I ended up with a perfect haircut although it did take 2 1/2 HOURS! Yes, just for a TRIM. So just a warning, make sure you have plenty of time. The whole director supervising does take some time. Help a student learn and get a nice cheap haircut in the progress. Oh, and they do color too!
