Tax and More

I requested a copy of the 2012 tax return prepared by Tax & More for my mother prepared on 9/12/2013. I was informed I would need to submit a Power of Attorney to have the request completed. I informed them I had such and would fax to them for their review and records. Shortly after, a representative of the company stated they would not release this information to me, only my mother (due to the relationship of my mother to the tax preparer: apparently they were recent co-workers). So, I clarified with them that while I was able to present the require documentation they requested they reverse their position and denied my request. That denial help further complicate an issue of neither my mother nor my family having a copy of my mother's completed 2012 tax return (which we-as a family-were working on and feel is possibly in error, due to my mother's diminished mental state).



On that basis I would not recommend Tax & More due to them being a business who does not know how to comply with state and federal laws, especially when it comes to seniors who are diminished mental state or their care takers. They charged my mother $200 but made very little effort to deal with me or interact with me to resolve this issue toward the best nterest of their client. Therefore, I was only left to write off the $200 loss and will be filing a IRS Tax Payer compliant against them.
