Special Moments Venue

This place is beautiful, UNFORTUNATELY the service does not measure up. My family and I booked this venue and had our special event there. That has been the biggest mistake of our whole event. When we went to look at the venue everything went well, all until the actual day of the event. We signed the event for 250 people which left room for more people than planned, we had asked how would we control the volume of traffic that entered the event, and the 2 ladies never addressed this question. The day of the event the 2 ladies began to put white bracelets on everyone that entered the door, even crawling babies, and the staff! This meant that there were only 250 bracelets, and once they were out of them we had to pay $10 PER PERSON that entered! They knew this would be for a Sweet 16, and we really could not know which of the young kids would show up and which wouldn't. We had invited well over 250 people, but more showed up, making the event a mess. To make matters worse, the owner kept the lies coming, and kept interrupting the birthday girl and her parents to help her attend the door, asking the parents to pay on the spot for every person. Oh, and before you wonder if this was perhaps a concern on the venues end regarding food, the answer is that they did not cater, we had contracted an independent caterer, so I do not know how they charged us so much more!
