At Satori it's a great experience from making my appointment to checking out after... The staff is so friendly & the salon has a pretty cool vibe....TORI takes the time to really listen to what I want & takes the time necessary for my hair texture...The next day I'm still running my fingers through my hair & LOVING my new cut...even when I go for just a trim, she still makes me feel like a million bucks when I walk out! & that 'extra' effort makes all the difference because I have no problem recreating the look I went in for on my own... ...That's definitely worth it to me after trying other places & stylists where I'm rushed in & out the door... I'll continue to rave about TORI & recommend her & Satori every time I'm asked where I get my hair done...(which is quite often!) SHE'S THE BEST & KNOWS WHAT SHES DOING! :)

Huy is the best!

Satori is a wonderful, hidden salon. It's so close to my office and the staff is very friendly. I've been going to Huy for several years. He's the only stylist that really understands my hair. There are very few stylists who knows how to work on Asian hair. It's like it has a life of its own. I have thick, coarse hair and Huy makes it look superb! I've gone to other well known salons. Their stylists don't do as good of a job as Huy. He is very patient, understanding, and does spectacular work. I always feel (and look) amazing after my hair cut. I've recommended him to several of my friends and co-workers. Definitely give him a try!

A great friend of mine raved about Satori and suggested that I make an appointment. The young lady that answered the phone (sarah) was very polite and even called me back when the stylist I requested had a cancellation and they were able to put me on schedule. When I arrived, I was politely asked to sit in their ""waiting area"" and the stylist would be right with me. 30 minutes later, that stylist came to me and told me that he doesn't do ethinic hair and he would not be able to help me but maybe someone else there could. He asked me to wait to see if that person was free. The next thing I knew he had another person in his chair and began doing her hair as though I wasn't even an issue. Ten minutes later a young lady approached me and kept looking at my hair as though she had NEVER seen an African American in their shop. She stated that she was booked and couldn't help me. She suggested that I check some cheap $10 salon that may have time to work me in. She again apologized as she could see the shock on my face. I stated to her that I was unaware that I had to disclose the fact the I was black when I made my appointment and that I felt comfortable coming to that salon because they were located just outside of downtown, as opposed to if I were in a shop in Conroe or Livingston. Instead of trying to satisfy my needs as a cash paying customer, I was treated like a 2nd class citizen and brushed off and out the door. Great atmospher but greatly lacking in customer service! I can not remember the last time I was treated so poorly and blantantly based on my ethnicity.

Huy Is The Best!!!!

When you walk into Satori you are greeted by a friendly reception area, and you can immediately notice the family feel of the place. Everyone there works together as a team to make your salon experience the best it can be. I got a single process color and cut, and Huy was AMAZING! He took the time to talk to me about what I didn't like about my current color & style and what I wanted to change. I went into the salon with my hair looking like it was about 5 different shades and left with a rich brown color with a hint of red. Huy only uses scissor to cut hair so if your hair is thin then I would recommend Huy to cut your hair. Within a few hours I had someone asking me where I got my hair cut because they loved it - that has never happened to me before! I definitely would recommend Satori, especially Huy, to anyone looking for a great stylist they can count on!

First of all, I was very skeptical on trying out a new hairstylist because I am very picky with my hair. But one of my co-worker Stephany, insisted that I should give Huy a try since she is very happy with his work. I finally decided to make an appt with him and it was the best decision ever. I came out looking like a new woman. He is very professional and he actually listen to what I want done to my hair. I'm very happy with the outcome and I highly recommend him. Good Luck!!!

I have been patronizing Tori for just over a year. She does a great job with my hair. She has an artistic eye and can work with a wide range of clients. Once I met Tori and became her client, I made an appt. for my (college) daughter and she was impressed with Tori's work, as well. We have followed Victoria to Satori's, because when you find a great hairstylist, you go with them - and, you should too!

I met Victoria when I used to get my hair done at another salon and she did an awesome job with my hair. She listens to what I want and works with me to ensure I receive the best results. She patiently worked with me until we achieved the results I wanted. She does high quality hair word and truly cares about satisfying her clients. I'm so pleased her work that when she joined Satori, I did not hesitate to follow her even though I have to drive 25 more miles... She and her work are worth it!!!!

HUY NGUYEN at Satori Salon in the Heights is AMAZING!!!! I have been seeing him for 3+ years and have NEVER left feeling disappointed. His cut and color are always perfect...He's my hair GOD!!!! And I feel he really takes his time in perfecting the look that he creates!
He never pushes products and I just LOVE him!!!!!! Can't say enough great things!!! :) -

I was a client of Huy Nguyen's when he was formerly working at M Salon, and gladly followed him to Satori. Huy has been my hairstylist for the last year and a half, and I only wish I found him earlier. He does an amazing job on both cut and color.\r \r The best thing about Huy is his committment to clients. There's been several times where Huy has stayed late or readjusted his schedule just to accommodate me -- even if just for a bang trim or blowout. Huy is also extremely patient and meticulous, particularly with cutting hair. I have Asian hair, and Huy gives me better layers and volume than anyone else in town. I'm also really picky about my bangs, and he does an amazing job every time I come in for a trim. Most importantly, he doesn't chop off 6 inches if I tell him to ""keep the length"" (take note, other stylists).\r \r As for color, Huy definitely spends money on his hair coloring products. I've done both highlights and allover hair color with him. He does a great job at helping me achieve a glossy, rich chestnut-brown color that I'm used to previously admiring in the magazines. \r \r The salon also has a cool vibe to it, and the receptionists are friendly. Not one of those pretentious environments, nor a place that's trying too hard to be hip. Definitely recommend Huy Nguyen and Satori!\r \r

With the minimal instruction from me (due to my baby fine hair and stuck in a rut routine with my hair style), Huy immediately sets to work. The result? Satori Heights Salon is Amazing!
I Just Moved to the Heights and found Satori Heights Salon while i was Exploring the neighborhood,and I am glad I did.The Salon is beautiful ,very zen like,and professional.I hadn't known that the stylist were in such high demmand so I was unable to get in on the spot,which is a good sign of quality work. The Colorful Manager,Jennifer was appologetic,very attentive,and stepped away from the desk to give me a tour of the salon before booking me for the next day.I went to Joe Farina for Color and Juan Cao for the cut,I have never loved my hair more! Juan did a cut on me i would have never chosen myself,but i decided to trust the artists and i just couln't be happier,why hasn't my hair always been this great?The minute I left I went next door to Star Pizza and was asked who did my hair by Three different people,that has NEVER happened to me before,It really makes a girl feel good.I Highly recommend Satori Heights Salon to anybody who wants to have a relaxing experience and feel sexy about themselves,you will not be dissapointed!
