In any business that deals with the public, it is very easy to give and very bad when you take something away. I was a loyal patron of Perry's. First they remodeled and expanded. I wasn't too crazy about that. Then they decided to take away the great salad bar. Then they took fried asparagus off the menu,....then after going to Sunday brunch, every Sunday, with my beloved wife, ....they stopped doing Sunday brunch on Mother's Day ....almost 10 years ago...with no warning. I haven't been back since. If they had warned us, ...especially since we came every Sunday,...I would not be angry or bitter, but to do it on Mother's Day , ....with no warning.....""Outrageous""!!!

We have dined at Perry's several times now, most recently for my Birthday. Patrick has been our waiter on the last several occasions, and he is the ultimate professional in every way. He is polite, courteous, and attentive in offering suggesiongs and listening to your choices as well. We tried the lobster bisque, wild greens with pear salad, prime steaks, Perry's filet, fried asparagus with lump crabmeat topping, creamed spinach, bananas Foster, and a nice Cabernet wine at our table. Everything was excellent, with no flaws. The dishes were all inspiring, professionally prepared like pieces of artwork, and simply delectable. Perry's is among my choicese for the top three best restaurants in Houston. I am so happy we just happen to live close to Perry's as well. Not only do they have excellent valets, seating hostesses, waiters and waitresses, they also have an undoubtedly superb chef(s) creating great food masterpieces in their kitchen. We will continue to return to Perry's. There's not a better restaurant in all of the Clear Lake or Houston area.

My boyfriend and I went the Clear Lake Perry's to celebrate an anniversary on a Wednesday night. We made reservations and were seated at a table with rose petals and offered a complimentary white chocolate cheesecake (which we took home). Our server, Russ, was excellent. He was friendly, professional, and very nice. Between my boyfriend and I, we had half a bottle of wine, shared appetizer, salad, pork chop, and shared flambe dessert. The bill was in the $100 - $114 range, but it could have been much higher. My only complaint is that my boyfriend and I are private people. Russ did a great job waiting on us, but there were two other people, probably managers or something, who kept coming over and checking up on us. It wasn't a terrible trait, but for a couple who likes to be alone, it wasn't exactly welcomed.

I am consistently amazed at how wonderful the food at Perry's is. I used to think it was just steak until I had their pork chop for lunch... WOW.
Unfortunately, they have spoiled me and now I can't go to ""lesser"" places like Outback or Saltgrass (which now tastes like cardboard in comparison).
Also save room for their bananas foster (made at your table).... incredible!
If you go on the weekend, they usually have a jazz combo going... very very nice...

We returned to Perry's to celebrate New Year's Eve with our two kids, and truly enjoyed the entire experience. Our waiter was exceptional, the food was incredible, and the dining experience was both serene and relaxing. The NYE fixed menu included an appetizer assortment plate of fried asparagus, cocktail shrimp, andoullie sausage, lump crabmeat, and a crabcake. They were all delicious. The next course included your choice of a caesar salad, house salad, or lobster bisque. And wow, I was so happy I opted for the lobster bisque; it was absolutely awe-inspiring. In fact it was the best lobster bisque I have had since eating at The Brownstone, three years ago.
The main entree selections were varied and delicious. There was a great variety of main entrees which included grilled salmon, almond crusted snapper, filet mignon, chateaubriand, rib eye, a fancy chicken dish, and several other selections. We tried four different entrees between the four of us, and loved every one of them. The salmon was a little ""fishy"", but that pretty much comes expected with salmon. The ribeye was ""off-the-chart delicious"", as was the chateaubriand and filet mignon. Each dish was served with a very creative sampling of fresh vegetables including butter-garlic crusted string beans, winter squash, carrots, and fresh asparagus. The wine and champagne list were also creative and comprehensive, with a great variety of both domestic and ecclectic selections. The valet parking attendants were also very professional and polite. I truly do not think we could have selected a better NYE dining experience so convenient and wonderful, and so close to home. We will definately keep returning; not just for special occasions, but for upscale dining at its best.

we were invited by some friends to perrys. we have been meaning to try this place for quite a while however it was dissaponting first of all i don't think this place should be this expensive since the food is just average, the plates are presented in a poor manner, the steaks are tender but over cook i asked for medium rare and it was well done (keep in mid this is the especialty of the house). also the meals are not serve complete everything is extra. we have had better meals at less expensive places.
sorry but this place is not the CAPITAL GRILL. In the other hand the staff was nice and the place is decorated nicely.

My work group had our Christmas luncheon at Perry's yesterday, 12/10/08. First we were sat in a room where the doors had gaps in them and if you remember it was about 30 degrees with the wind blowing! It was FREEZING in this room that I had to eat with my coat on. When we complained to our server he just said the heat was on 90...WHAT!!!! It was about 50 in that room. Anyway...second! Not one time did the server ask us if we wanted something to drink besides water! I made 2 comments about it to him and he walked right by without a word! Usually this service is good but yesterday the service was horrible! Another co-worker already complained to management that the SAME server spilled water in her porkchop plate while pouring it for another person and never bothered to say sorry, clean it up...nothing! We will definitely find another place for our Christmas party next year. By the way, I HOPE no one tipped him anything besides what was on the tickets already added cause he wasnt even worth that!!! That's why I dont like when they add the gratuity to the checks because the servers know they're already getting tipped and they usually dont care! Well. Perry's you can blame the server for our group yesterday why you just lost our group dinners there....Christmas and all other times
