Live At Bayou Place

I had my 30th birthday party at Live! at Bayou Place. It's 4 clubs in 1. The 90's beach-theme club (Shark Bar), techno-theme (Chapel Hill), hip-hop/R&B (Lucie's Liquors), and a pretty cool country-type club (PBR). PBR has a mechanical bull that you can ride--and we did. HOWEVER, WORD TO THE WISE, IF YOU BOOK A PARTY HERE, and you are quoted a price, be sure to GET IT IN WRITING. I'd never been to this club so I went the night before to check it out and speak to someone about pricing. While there, I reserved a section in Lucie's Liquors with CHELSEA. She quoted me an awesome deal which was what ultimately convinced me to have my party here. The next night I got there early to be sure our spot didn't get given away--just in case--and it is a good thing I did. My name wasn't on the "seating chart" and even though I was there before the person whose name was on the chart they were trying to seat me in another section all together. I spent the first 20 minutes of my party arguing with the hostess. After I threatened to leave they made other accomodations for the other person. THEN when it came time to pay, they charged me $60 more than I was quoted the night before. Courtney (who is a manager here) and another man claimed that Chelsea, the person I booked with the night before, had been fired and didn't want to honor the price she quoted me. Thankfully I had the sense to have her write it on the back of the business card she gave me and when I showed them I had it in writing, their tones changed and they honored the pricing.
