        Dr. Walters is a native Texan who grew up in Pasadena, Tx. She attended San Jacinto Jr. College prior to graduating from the University of Texas School of Dental Hygiene in 1972. She soon realized how much she loved dentistry and went on to complete the requirements necessary for dental school at the University of Houston. Dr. Walters received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery(DDS) from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. The following year she completed a one-year general practice residency at Houston's Veterans Administration Hospital. She was selected to be a fellow in the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentist both of which have a selective membership limited to 2-3%of dentists worldwide. Dr. Walters is active in the dental community and has held many positions a the local (GHDS) state (TDA) and national (ADA) level. She has served as a Director, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Walters has chaired several committees for The Star of The South Dental Meeting in Houston which provides quality continuing education relating to dentistry and received the Dr. Burton Kunik Award for outstanding volunteer. She and her team are committed to dentistry and stay current with topics related to patient care by exceeding the continuing education requirements mandated by the state. She knows patients have a choice when choosing a dentist and she appreciates when she is chosen. She will always do everything possible to merit the confidence her patients have shown in her.

        I've been going to Dr. Walters since 2006 (since her office was actually located on Fannin Street) but they've recently relocated to a brand new building on Holt Street (approximately one mile away). Everyone in her office are true professionals. Teeth cleanings are done with little or no pain/discomfort and more importantly, I trust Dr. Walters recommendations on what I need to keep my teeth clean and healthy.
