This guy is a complete clown.

I have no issue with State Farm as a company but I'd stay away from Jose Vasquez if at all possible. In September I had an issue with my roadside rescue not showing up on my account, despite it being on my policy. I spoke with Jose Vasquez on the phone directly and he assured me he’d call over and resolve it. Instead of actually fixing the issue, Jose Vasquez just called the roadside rescue team and set it up for me to pay $61 out of pocket to cover my tow. This tow should have been covered via my insurance, but instead I was asked to pay upfront and be refunded later. When it came time for my refund check to be sent out, I asked for specifics like how long it would take. His response and I quote from his e-mail:
“Well sir I don’t send it comes from CORPRATE (sic) not my office.”
When I advised him that it should be within his power to contact “CORPRATE” also known as corporate, he took no action and told me he was done talking to me. This guy is so unprofessional he doesn’t even spellcheck his own e-mails. He just types in CAPS randomly and says things that make 0 sense.
To make matters worse after the incident he did nothing to correct the root cause of the issue (my roadside rescue not showing up on my account) which lead me to be charged another ~60. This second 60 he is now refusing to refund, and refuses to provide a clear and sensible explanation as to why. The excuses he has given me are embarrassing and I’d expect more from someone whose career is customer service based.
I’ve had nothing but negative experiences with this man and his office. Experiences which included them asking me to send in my payment information (full card number, expiration and 3 digit security code) to them via e-mail which is insane and not what they are supposed to be doing. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of actual customer care exhibited by this man and his employees almost makes me want to leave state farm completely.
Considering the overall importance of insurance, and how big of a role it plays when you are in emergency situations, Jose Vasquez is not someone trustworthy enough to handle these type of situations. I’m not advising against going with state farm, but Jose Vasquez is definitely not “like a good neighbor.”
