Rudest Bar Staff, Grumpy Owner
I love the blues. The live music that played was wonderful and professional. No garage band here. However, the male help is less than desirable. I noticed how the owner of the bar would sit in the corner and when someone took his seat (you couldn't tell anyone was sitting there or using that chair, as it was off in the corner), he acted as if you stole his wife. Though he wasn't mean to me (thank gawd)- the only male bartender with the black 80's flock of seagull haircut was. I stood there as he helped everyone but me. He very non-appologetically gave me the drink free though I that wasn't what I wanted- I just wanted to be served in the order of the cue-up. You could tell he couldn't a smile and to talk to him he wouldn't even look at you until I had to say, ""Do I have to speak up?( to get served here?)"" three times. I wasn't even being obnoxious, just asking a matter of fact question. So he said, ""I'm just making sure my best client gets a drink"". Then the client himself, an obvious alcoholic man in his 90's, turned to me and said, ""And I tip like a Mo' Fo'"". The free drink sucked and I'm sure if I weren't standing there watching he would have put mucus in it. The blonde waitress was very kind and attentive. She and the music were the only positive things about the place. Like the previous reviewer, I too will be letting others know about my experience at this bar. With all the places in Houston to choose from that will go out of their way to make you feel good, why go here?
