This is a great synagogue with an extremely involved and caring community. It is affiliated with a great school that provides a wonderful secular and Judaic education. This is also the largest conservative synagogue in the country. It's beautiful yet still warm and inviting. As far as what Johnny T said, yes there is security, but I have never encountered or seen ANYONE be questioned about whether they were Jewish or not. Additionally, judging by the date, he may have visited during the High Holy Days, which comes with increased security and a limited amount of seats. The services are beautiful and the Rabbis and Cantor...and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and friendly.
