It was nice to get a call form David Bagby in regards to the Taurus SHO, I built online @ 2am in the morning. What's interesting is, I didn't expect to hear form anyone until Monday, but today is Saturday. I explained to him that I have very high expectations of after the sale services and the reason for this is do to the fact I own very high end car such as the Audi A8L and the a Lexus LS460 and these car dealer have raised the bar for every other car dealer when it come to service. Grant it the SHO isn't a 65,000.00 Audi A8L but it is a suggested retail of $43,000 when I finish the spec. further more I'm spending my money. Years back I bought a car from Tommy Vaughn Ford and I had no problem with them at all. I called about a coolant leak I had one Monday and schedule to bring the car in later that day, which I did. Tuesday I got a call and the service adviser gave me the information as to what the technician had found (grant it he had no idea I was a Automotive Tech also) and I had already checked to see what was leaking. However he told me the lower radiator hose was bad and they would replace both upper and lower hoses and the thermostat as well a flush the coolant system as preventative maintenance. Car a getting more expensive and the service,experience and environment should be invigorating as spending $60,000.00 on a F350 or $40,000.00 on a Taurus. I have used the auto repair services of Bemer Motor Cars for the past 3.5 years- since May 2011. I have a 2002 Range Rover 4.6HSE that I purchased preowned at 90,000 miles in 2007. Over the years they have repaired/replaced the following on my Range Rover 4.6HSE : ... transfer case; radiator and heater block; front drive shaft; oxygen sensor; motor mounts; brakes; radio, and air suspension system. With the exception of the air suspension system, once they repaired an item the first time, it stuck, never to give me concern again, even beyond the two year warranty. Regarding the air suspension system which is a challenge for all Range Rover owners, that too seems to finally be working properly now that the compressor and valve block have been replaced at 155,000 miles. So - for ACTUAL AUTO REPAIR, I give them a rating of 4 out of 5 stars But - for SERVICE and Conveniences .... 5 Stars - EASY! RATING BEMER Motor Cars for Overall Service is higher. They truly deserve a rating of 5 Stars. For these reasons... Very Clean waiting area with Wi-FI ( in fact there are two waiting rooms -one a bit more quiet than the other) very clean ladies bathroom free Coffee.. is available even in the middle of the day; a bowl full of peppermint candies at the front desk Fresh Fruit ... I have observed them bring in fresh fruit bowls of pineapple; cantaloupe; mango; etc, to their mechanics in late afternoon and also serve fruit bowls to customers in the waiting area who have been there an extended length of time. They have a Shuttle Service that I have used, that will take you to local auto rental businesses and provide a discount with a couple of them OR it will even shuttle you home to wait for the repair. Jose, the driver is exceptionally nice. In fact, most all of the staff is. It is a family owned business. I have also used the Rental Cars that Bemer Motor Cars have onsite. These are usually below the rental rates for traditional car rental companies like Avis etc. ALERT! - Their gas gauges are also usually near empty so be sure and plan to swing by a gas station shortly after leaving the repair shop. Washed, Waxed, and Vacuumed. ...And finally once the repair is done and I pick up my Range Rover, it typically has been washed, waxed, and vacuumed. The two repair shops that I used for several years that had been mentioned in the Range Rover forums, didn't come even close to offering the level of services that are common at Bemer Motor Cars. No doubt, Bemer Motor Cars is not perfect, but their effort is commendable. Going forward, I have every confidence that when something breaks down in my vehicle, their crew will be able to make the correct repair and get me on the road again.
I recently purchased a used car from John Eagle Acura, Houston TX and my sales rep was TJ Morin. I rate the dealership & especially Mr. Morin 6 out of 5 STARS, yes I know, but my experience really was that exceptional. Over my lifetime I have purchased at least 25 vehicles, new & used, for myself and family, but not only was this my first over the internet (I live in Pensacola Florida which is over 500 miles from Houston Texas), but also the first time that a full week later, I am 100% completely satisfied with the car, deal, dealership and especially the salesperson, no second thoughts at all – “WOW”. The first thing I asked when I called the dealership, about the car I had found on AutoTrader.com, and was transferred to Mr. Morin was; “The car looks good, but what are you not showing by the camera angles? Mr. Morin informed me that the car I was interested in was listed very recently and he had not yet had an opportunity to test drive the car & he would give me a call back. Within 60 minutes, Mr. Morin called me back and said that he had just driven the car himself and informed me of his impressions, both positive and negative (99% of which were clearly visible in the photos) and offered, I did not need to ask, to remedy all but one small item. This one item which was not highlighted in the online photos but was disclosed to me by Mr. Morin was that the “SRS” light was on and only a Mercedes-Benz shop could accurately determine the exact reason, which my local Mercedes shop confirmed. Just in case you are interested, the “BabySmart Airbag Deactivation System” which automatically deactivates the passenger side front air bag when a “BabySmart” Child Seat is installed is malfunctioning. Since I am in my sixties, I do not find this to be a major problem! I communicated with Mr. Morin multiple times viva email & phone and always received a prompt response and completely accurate information (Mr. Morin always answered his cell phone and if I called the dealership for him I was transferred to his cell phone). I received a call from Mr. Morin almost exactly half way home just to make sure I had not experienced any problems and once home, found an email from him asking that I please reply so he would know that I was home safe! My only regret is that due to the 500 miles, separating Pensacola, FL from Houston, TX, I cannot personally send many of my friends to TJ Morin and John Eagle Acura, but if you are considering purchasing a vehicle online and find one on their website, I believe you will find them as honest & above-board as I have. I can honestly say this has been my best vehicle purchasing experience ever!
