About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and the amount of useful content in the listing, such as consumer reviews, detailed descriptions and photos, to help you evaluate a business's suitability for you. In addition, YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results on our sites and apps, and they may appear in sponsored listings on the top or side of the search results page.

Champion is Recommendable!

This was my first visit to Champion. I called first. I was concerned because I did not think the person who answered the phone understood me. The photos for their advertising was a little misleading on this store although it is possible that I came when most of the students and instructors were not there (1:00 p.m. in the afternoon). I did not see any instructor that would know about relaxers/touchups. This was a concern I had about Royal Beauty College: no (attentive) instructors. This review is about Champion though. I was very comfortable at this location. The owners (?)/ instructors (?) available were very nice. The school was run like a beauty salon. I was taken care of my a student named Tiffany. She is very professional yet friendly. I felt comfortable telling her what I wanted and showing indecision about the choices I considered. I decided to just have a relaxer and trim performed. I was and remain very pleased with her demeanor and attitude about her work. She cares that she does a great job. She treats your hair like she wants hers treated. She was not tentative or afraid to perform the relaxer or any other service I wanted done. She will even schedule to do your hair in your home or hers. She specializes in braids. She expects to graduate in March 2010 and I pray she will be close enough to my home so that I can follow her. She did a beautiful job on my hair and 3 weeks later, I am still pleased with my hair. I recommend this school (especially over Royal Beauty College) for students as well as customers.

Acoustic Edge Institute

Acoustic Edge is a great school to sharpen your skills in the car stereo and home theater installation as well as custom fabrication and custom interiors. It is a short school that fast tracks you to a new career. I was placed at car toys 2 weeks into my 1st class and am loving it. My base pay is $11 an hour with 37% commission and i would have never gotten it without the help from acoustic edge, also another classmate was placed at frys starting at $15 an hour. This was the best investment in my life.

I love this school and I am very glad that I found it. Out of all the schools in Houston I wouldn't want to have my education from anywhere else. The way they run things and operate is just a great way to spend the day through cosmetology school. Great experience, thank you.
