Love this place, It's really MORE for the dogs, than for us. I've had my fair share for pets over the years, and let me tell you, toys, beds, floors, walls, etc, GONE TO SHREDS. I love this place because my dogs play with other dogs and learn socialization and manners, instead of being distracted with toys or rushing them to the vet for chewing up wood, sheet rock, etc. I've seen the inside of this place, although it's not marble flooring and chandeliers, It's clean ( AND NO PET STENTCH EITHER!) , they use rubber mats so dogs won't hurt their hips and joints, and I never see dogs ruining the very nice furniture they do have in the lobby area just for us customers. I feel a personal welcome when I come in because everyone knows my dogs' names. All this place is, is open space. My dogs come home tired and pooped out in the living room or on their beds. I've taken a tour, and the Owner, Gabriela, PERSONALLY introduced me to all of her workers and showed me a personal tour. As long as my dogs get the personal attention, as well as the socialization, that's all that matters to me. Oh and to all the new people researching, the two hate reviews below must be a competitor, ex-customer/employee, or someone with a personal torch to burn. This site is for people to review the BUSINESS' SERVICES, not sexual orientation or if the business changes employees. I don't remember seeing the same face twice at other business' like walmart or petsmart. Which by the way, since being there for almost 2 years, the young girl in the glasses, was never nice to me. She always had something negative to say about my dogs digging holes, barking too much, whining, etc, you name it. I even heard her tell other people as I was walking away, more Negative remarks. I don't know but I haven't seen her the past month or so, so that MUST tell you somthing. If you don't want you're dog coming home smelly or dirty keep them at home in a crate, or go to a caged facility. I would rather come home to two muddy and tired pups, than clean and howling bored pups all night long.

Great grooming services at fair prices. I have a long hair cat and it was approximately $40 for a wash and blow dry + nail trim. Very well located on West Alabama near Montrose. A total "mom & pop" type business and they sell adorable cat toys and the like for the most finicky cats and their human mommy's. :) My only rather large complaint, and the reason I did not give 5 stars is they have absolutely no concept of "appointments" or "time management." Supposedly their first appointment is at 10:00, but when pressed, they'll tell you 9:00. When pressed further, they'll tell you 8:00 for special circumstances. So when you think you've got the first appointment of the morning (at 9:00) there is a strong likelihood that you do not. Furthermore, they will start working on your cat, then let him "rest" and go work on another cat, and your cat gets forgotten about...The first time I went, an appointment that should have taken 2 hours tops, took 4. The second time, after my cat had been there for 2.5 hours, I called to get an approximate pick up time and THEY HADN'T EVEN STARTED YET! I found this to be totally unacceptable. If you're in a hurry, this is not the place for you. If you have all day and a very flexible schedule, go for it, they are good at their job, they're just awful at time management. They also seem completely unaware and unphased that a customer might be upset if they are running 2-4 hours behind schedule. And this is the norm, not the exception. It's VERY laid back... perhaps a bit more than is justifiable. In my opinion, they either need to allow more time between appointments, take fewer appointments or get additional staff because it's not fair to busy moms to expect a pet grooming session to become an all day affair.
Understanding that your pet may be one of the most loved members of your family, the doctors and staff of Bellaire-Richmond are the folks you need to help you make all the right decisions. Quotes from them: "God puts animals on this earth and someone needs to care for them. Why not you?" This was said to me after having to put down one of my cats of many years. I had asked, why do I put myself through this as it hurts so bad. In the end, after hearing these kind words, I snapped to the reality that you will most likely have to put down all your pets. God did not give them the life span that he gives us. So, why don't I just take care of all the little precious four legged creatures I can, while they are here on earth, and do God a favor. Plus, it's a great reward in all the love they give my family in return. I also heard: "She (my beloved dog) has trusted you to make the right decision all her life. Don't let her down now when she is ready to go." - This taught me I can not be selfish. I must do what is right for my dog, and love her to the end by letting her go. All three doctors are down to earth, caring, exceptional and reasonable, in professional care. The staff is like family. A great place to partner with you in the care of your four legged friends. - They have cared for our family of animals for over 35 yrs. We have had wonderful, long healthy lifetimes with each and every animal thanks to Bellaire-Richmond Pet Hospital and their staff.
