On September 13,2008 The Houston area was hit with hurricane Ike. This Hardware store was the only store in the area OPEN, helping its customers with water, generators, charcoal, batteries and other emergency supplies. They had 2 truckload of supplies come in on that Saturday & Sunday after the Hurricane. The Hardware Store itself was without electricity and running its registers on generators. The owners of the store were there all week helping customers get the supplies they needed to patch the hole in their roof or replace the windows that blew out. Golfcrest Hardware has earned a customer for life. Thank You -Alton

This is definitely my one-stop shop... I hate wasting one hour at Lowe's or Home Depot when I can just swing in here and pick up what I need within minutes. The staff is knowledgable, in fact, they often direct me to buy the less expensive items because they actually care about their customers.
In this day of super large retail chains, this local hardware store stands out for its customer service. All the sales people are knowledgeable and quick to help you find what you need.
