I don't gravitate to Mexican restaurants and came to this one because of proximity to where we live and in order to try something new. The restaurant has a nice, friendly atmosphere, though it could use some more wall decorations. The booths are relatively small and accommodate four people, leaving more room to place tables . It's a very good arrangement. But of course we came for the FOOD. Good chips and salsa were served as soon as we sat down. We were especially happy to see a vegetarian section on the menu. There was a more than adequate variety of choices on the menu. I ordered a taco salad and my husband had fajitas. The meal was brought in short order, and the food was tasty and tastefully prepared. The size of the serving was adequate: we had no leftovers. For the budget watchers: the prices are fair and reasonable.
We love the food at El Acapulco, but it seems we always have to wait much longer than stated. Tonight we were told 20-35 minutes and one hour later we finally sat down at a table. Groups of 6 who came in after us were seated because we had an odd number. They wanted to fill up the tables. I'm afraid my love of El Acapulco food is being overthrown by the seating methods.
We go there all the time...the food comes out fast,it's not to expensive, and the people are friendly. They are so good you miss them when you go anywhere else. I went to a different mexican resturant in hot springs and was filled with disappointment... compared to them the other place was...lack luster and over priced to put it nicely. I love the El P.! :)
