Okay, okay I know I'm probably the only local girl in all of Hawaii who doesn't just drool over Liliha Bakery's cocoa puffs. Although, it's not them it's me, really-- I'm just not a huge cream puff girl in general. But, that aside. You have to try the cocoa puffs-- they really are good. And if you have just a minute or two more you could sit at the old fashioned counter and order true diner style from their menu overflowing with local goodness. I love stopping by here just to soak up the energy of what seems to be one of the last true diner's in Hawaii. Oh the good ole days. Oh and also this is the perfect, and by perfect I mean really, truly perfect in every way, place to break any carb related fasting. Be careful when you enter as you will most likely not be able to leave with out one of their signature boxes brimming with sugary sweetness. And that, truly is the sweetest thing.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village who's $$$$ restaurants were going to destroy our vacation budget in a day. Our discovery of this family gem of a restaurant was a paradise of all you can eat macadamia nut pancake with coconut syrup. Corn beef hash, French toast and fluffy omelets. The prices $ like the menus and decor harken an era long gone. A must to any one staying on the island, come back in the evening to a real Tiki bar for the best happy hour with the locals.
My favorite is the french iced coffee. It's awesome! The quality of the coffee is superior to the competition. Everyone that works at &amp;quot;customer service&amp;quot; is the BEST. I enjoy the opportunity to have a comfortable place to take a break to relax and catch up on the news.
