It has been a pleasure dealing with Tom Shinsato and his staff for the past 10 years. They have always been very helpful and sensitive to my needs. Whenever a tenant has a problem, Tom and his staff respond quickly and solve the situation. This is why I have been a client for so long with this realty company. Since I have very little turnover with my properties and no complaints from my renters, I know that Tom Shinsato and his staff take care of my investments. This is a company that has been in business for many years because of its quality customer service. I would recommend (and have) Tom Shinsato Realty to my relatives, friends and acquaints.

I have been a client for more than seven years, both as a renter then as the property manager for my condominium. His services have always been exemplary, professional and timely. He and his staff have responded to all tasks involving my property and have been sensitive to the renters' needs. Quality of people and service skills are lacking for the most part. Keith has no memory of things he has done or said in the past. Owners get no notification in the event of an emergency. Tom is rude and doesnt gather all his facts prior to having a conversation with you. Overall rating is very poor. I am happy that I no longer have to deal with these people. Unprofessional all the way around.

Tom Shinsato and his manager Keith are unprofessional. In the past year, they've raised the rent on us TWICE. They cite that prices are rising in our area, but we've found--and proven to them--that this isn't the case. Keith is supposed to be our Property manager, but he calls and then hangs on up on us; I've actually never heard him say ""bye"" or ""talk to you later."" I am moving out and hope to never be dealt with so rudely again.

OMG I had the same issues with these guys they are horrible! I tried to get simple things fixed and you would think they would help out a single mom but they didn't! Even worse, there so called landscapers messed up my elderly neigbors yard--and they never care! Thankfully my son and I are moving to a safer place very soon because I can't stand not feeling safe in my own kitchen and house. Do NOT do business with them! Allen808--they raised my rent, too!

I was a previous renter of a Salt Lake unit and am forever grateful to the Shinsato family. Mr. Shinsato gave a me a break years ago... a single mom w/2 kids on Section 8. I knew God was helping me because when we met with Mr. Shinsato, my daughter was so excited she ran through the living room thinking she could just step out to the balcony but... boom, she was stopped by the glass sliding door. I saw the hesitation in Mr. Shinsato's face but he agreed to let me have the apartment. I stayed in that apartment for at least 4 years. I recently reached out to the Shinsato family again and told them of my good news and to send them a belated ""Thank You!"" They knew who I was just by the mention of my name and they even remembered my son coming to the office with my payment whom they befriended each time with yummy goodies. Hands down... the only choice!!

dishonest realty

This realtor is very dishonest and money hungry. They are responsible for certain repairs in the facility that we rented prior, but they never did it. after calling for months they finally came to fix what was broken and one week later we where kicked out. Tom himself is very dishonest and he seems to be very prejudice against certain races as well. Renters just beware of the scam of unprofessionalism
