I would give this a 5 star rating except for the terrible old Japanese man that regulates the parking lot. I had parked near the wine shop and he instructed that I park in the back behind the building. I am not handicapped although I have a somewhat bad leg and when I asked why I need to park in the rear which was very far away from where I was going, he replied that all the parking is already reserved. So I went along and parked there and it was very difficult to park with a very full lot. I enjoyed the food and we reunited with friends from japan and Taiwan. As I left the restaurant I was helped by a friend who carried my doggie bag and noticed that the parking area that I had parked in was completely empty and was curious why that man had told me to park elsewhere. When I returned to my vehicle, I had been blocked in by a car and wondered who I need to contact to get it moved. I finally saw the old Japanese man who told me to park and asked if someone could move the car that was parked behind me. He replied that there is no valet and I would have to wait until the person returned. About a half hour passed and a man went into the car that blocked me in and I had asked why he parked in back of me when there were so much open spaces available. He replied that a Japanese old man instructed him to park behind me and block me in on purpose. I thought that was odd so I had asked the man what the meaning of this was. He said that he didn't like the way I had parked and that I had taken up two spaces (which I am a very good driver and did not occupy two spaces). When I asked him his name, he said it was Allen/Alan (sp?). I asked if I could get the name of his senior and he replied that he is the boss and what he says goes. I had a very bad experience at the Kilohana Square because if him and although I like the food at Mr. Ojisan, I really have no intention on returning back if I had to deal with this every time. I have the feeling because I am a mixed race woman with black in my background, this had something to do with the way I was treated and instructed to park in the back. I feel sorry for this man and hope the owners of this square remedy this situation before it gets ugly.
