Burnt out prick. His partner John Cogan is one of the best cardiologists, so I incorrectly presumed that Dr Silver would also be competent. I went to him Dec 2008 complaining of constantly feeling sweaty and clammy even after cold showers and rooms with air conditioning. I had studied hours regarding my symptons and suggested a Thyroid test may give some answers. He informed me that Hawaii is a hot place and often many symptoms are only in the mind. Regardless, a thyroid test was ordered, and I was informed that nothing seemed out of sorts. When my symptoms worsened I called back and found that only a T4 was done , not the TSH or T3 which are the best tests fot a full thyroid test. Any doctor worth his salt should know this.This is a man who gives no credibility to his patient's intelligence, and would rather be sarcastic and listen to himself talk and take the easy way out. I have moved on to another doctor who realizes that I have a medical problem, and away from this bad attitute loser. Michael
