The food is one thing; the service is another. I went thinking I would have one of my last meals reminiscing the many times I ate there lemon chicken since I am now moving from the island. But what a negative impact it has left on me.
When I walked in and ordered, the lady up front was visibly irritated to count change that I had given her. Not a big deal at that point although she could use a brush up on customer service 101.
Two other customers ordered after me and so we all three waited for our orders. I ordered a mini lemon chicken and at one point began to wonder, I don't remember it taking this long? I then see the gentlemen who ordered last pick up his order (hamburger steak, fast to make and to be expected), and then the other gentlemen (two steaks), okay...
I was still waiting for my mini lemon chicken quite awhile after the two customers had left for a good amount of time. Finally, the lady up front tells me it's ready. I go up front to pick it up and cavalierly say, ""I didn't know it took so long"" and before I could tell her I use to come here all the time to order this, she glares at me and says, ""What?!"". First of all, where at any restaurant would a restaurant worker speak to any customer like that; much less one who has had history at there restaurant?
She then turns around and yells at the man in the back, ""She wants to know why it took so long?"" The man then comes forward to explain how they deep fry their chicken but what was most evident was his good communication skills towards the customer.
The lady then tells me, ""Maybe next time you should order a hamburger steak instead!"" The man tried to cover her rudeness by telling me, ""Don't worry, it (lemon chicken) is good!"" As I walked towards the door, I thank the man and told the lady, ""You have an attitude and I will make sure to write a review about it.""
