Hawaii Health Systems is the nation s fourth largest public hospital system with an operating budget of nearly $350 million. Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC), a public benefit corporation that provides health care services that include Alzheimer s and dementia care, physical therapy, acute care, family practice, radiology, 24-hour emergency services, cancer care, cardiology and pediatrics. The 12 HHSC facilities are located in five different regions: East Hawaii - Hilo Medical Center, Hale Ho'ola Hamakua, and Kau Hospital; West Hawaii - Kona Community Hospital and Kohala Hospital; Maui - Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital; Oahu - Leahi Hospital and Maluhia; and Kauai - Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital and Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. In addition to serving the needs of their communities, the facilities provide healthcare to thousands of Neighbor Island visitors and tourists each day of the year.
