Eye Doctor's Optical Outlets

I had been going to another optician in Homosassa but they got ridiculously expensive and wouldn't work with me to try to lower the price, despite advertising 2 pairs of glasses for either $69 or $99, so the last 2 times I used Optical Outlet and got 2 pairs of glasses for about $261 (my Medicare Advantage plan paid an additional $49 for frames). They worked with me to get what I wanted at a price lower than that first quoted. It helps to have some knowledge before you go into an optician, such as what benefits polycarbonate has and what you want or need as far as add-ons, such as ultraviolet, glare, etc., but they did a good job explaining. However, I found that the quality of the service depended on which person I was talking to. I was very happy with the optometrist's exam, which was $42. I have a difficult prescription, and he took the time to see what benefited my vision the most.

Good luck finding frames for the "deals". They are scarce as hen's teeth and scattered throughout the store so you can't hardly find them.
