Mary's Meadow At Providence

Great home setting. The bright private rooms are just like home as opposed to the traditional institutional feel of the majority of long term care facilities. We loved the peace of mind and comfort that we see in Mary's Meadow.

I am the son of a patient that stayed at Mary's meadow. I honestly have not had the displeasure of dealing with such an uncaring and rude nursing and care staff in my entire life. My Mother had a stroke that disabled her speach and she was unable to talk for herseld. She first went to critical rehab at the Bronson center in Westfield's Noble Hospital. WOW were thery great. Very uplifing and kind, but dont let Marys medow's new "pretty" buildings fool you. They contain some very rude help. Some were very nice but it is all too clear that they are more concerned about the bottom line than their patients. In fact the second day I was there one of the staff told me that herself. The rehab is limited and most of the time they leave the patients to sit alone in their rooms with no interacion. The staff never makes an attemp to work with the patients on any fundamental skills out side of therapy. They staff watchs TV all day and night. It took 15 min. to answer when Mom buzzed for the nurse.
