DO NOT GO HERE ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY.. I TOOK MY 7LB DOG THERE IN AN EMERGENCY FRM BEING ATTACKED. HIS SKIN FRM WAIST TO PAW WAS RIPPED OFF AND THIS PLACE WLD NOT DO ANYTHING UNTILL HE GOT $1,000 UP FRONT. I STOOD OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN WITH MY DOG WRAPPED IN A BLODDY TOWEL THINKING HE WAS GOING TO DIE IN MY ARMS BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE $1,000. THE DOCTOR HAS NO COMPASSION WHAT SO EVER , ALL HE KEPT ASKING FOR WAS THE MONEY. AN HR PASSED AND OWNER OF OTHER THE OTHER DOG CAME TO PAY IT. THE NXT DAY AFTER MY DOGS SURGERY I WENT TO VISIT HIM AND THE DOCTOR FREAKED ME OUT. I WAS ASKING IF MY DOG WAS GOING TO MAKE IT AND ALL HE CLD SAY ITS GOING TO BE A LONG AND EXPENSIVE RECOVERY. IM NOW TAKING MY FUR BABY TO A VET WHO HAS COMPASSION AND SYMPATHY FOR ANIMALS AND PPL.....ALL SAINT FRANCIS WANTS IS UR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!
After spending $$$ my puppy was still sick no answers. They wanted more money to figure it out. Basically they put my dog an IV to pep him up and let him go. No real diagnosis. When I called to say that he was still sick they brought me in to say they didn't have a clue, but for $$$ we will check it out. What the hell!! Please take your pet somewhere that cares and not just want to charge over for an over priced night stay. So sad my pup is still sick.
Dr. Ridge is very rude and dry. It was obvious he had no sympathy toward my pet and his main objective was the money I was about to pay. Gave me little to no insight about what was wrong with my pet. Answered with sarcastic remarks and just does not look like an animal or people person. Never thought I'd meet such an a** of a doctor.
I brought my mothers persian cat at 1am, the cat was very sick, but the clerk at the front made sure the 20 mins of paperwork was complete before acknoledging we even brought our cat in. We then went into the exam room, where it took another 10 mins to meetup with someone who only wanted to discuss pricing options for the necessary blood transfusion. It was later mentioned that there wasnt even a donor cat there, but he knew other locations. As my mother asked for possible solutions, he cut her off and pointed to the cat, and told her it was too late, the cat was dead... The cat then started in convulsions and loud noises before finally she stopped.. The man did nothing but watch as the cat died in front of us becuase we could not afford the $135 fee to have the cat put to sleep, all we had was 110$. So after the horrible care and worst experience, the clerk at the front charged us $106 'doa disposal fee'... This company claims to do whatever they can to save 'part of your family' but enless you have cash on hand when ur pet is dying in front you,
Dr. Ridge is like the "House" of vets! His bedside manner is a little unorthodox but he has dedicated his life to low cost veterinary care and emergency services to pets and their owners. I could not be happier with the service provided. All of the staff were attentive and gave my old girl (she's 16.5 years old) the best care anyone could ask for. I am very pleased with the vet service! Also, Dr. Ridge is all bark with no bite!
Dr. Ridge , the owner and Vet at St Francis was great with my dogs and cat. All my experiences were amazing. First, I took my moms dog Coco, a teacup yorkie after he was stepped on and could not breathe. I thought he was not going to make it and after 4 days in an oxygen tank and a very low bill get was able to go home, that was 2 years ago and he is doing great. Another time I took my cat who had a lot of blood in his unine, we rushed him to Fort Lauderdale Emergency hospital, and they told me without looking at him that it was going to be 1500 plus and that he might need surgery because he had an obstructed bladder. I decided to take my cat out of there to Dr. Ridge at St. Francis, after checking the cat he said he had a bladder infection, gave me antibiotics and I took him home, that was one year ago and he is doing great. St. Francis is the most affortable and best emergency and non emergency place I ever took my pets and I will continue to take them there because they are honest and don't rip you off like the other Vet offices and emergency places.
I couldn't Thank enough this doctor i went to other hospital because my vet was sick and was charge for bloodwork without making my cat better in the night i realize my cat was not getting better so i decided to call St francis emergency to take my cat the doctor give me so medications and put a antibiotic on my cat and now he is good i can believe the other place told me to leave my cat overnight on watch and will cost me 700 dollars and this doctor only gave me some medicines and he was ok thanks god for Honest places like this!!!

Been going to this place for 15 years now, some sad endings, but mostly happy endings. I do not understand what these people on here keep bashing the place, this place is a great vet.... I have visited many others vet offices and none have been as straight forward, honest, and reasonable on the pricing as these guys. Dr. Ridge and his staff may not have to most glitzy or polished equipment , location, or yes... even attitude, but your going here to help your little ones, not have someone kiss your arse.

If you want an honest vet who will not try to sell you things you don't need, and take advantage of your animal in order to make a buck - then this is where you should take them. A+
