Dr. Jesica Bromberg Shienbaum, MD

I went in to find a new OBGYN for all my womanly needs and to continue my regular birth control routine (uncovered by my insurance). I was told I needed a new patient consultation first (covered by my insurance). I asked for the price of the consultation without insurance so I would know just in case. I was told $120. I scheduled the appointment. When I arrived I asked again the price of the consult as I am a student. I was told it would depend on the code the doctor gives but consultations were covered. The doctor spent 5 minutes with me and took a blood test to ensure I wasn't pregnant. I was asked to pay 20$ for the blood test on the spot and sent home without an appropriate pricing on the consult still even though they now had a billing code from the doctor. Later in the mail I received a $504 bill. My insurance refused to pay because she billed it as a birth control consult instead of a new patient consult. I asked why didn't the doctor give me the fill consultation (covered) as I was new to the area and would have continued to go to this doctor for any other reasons (pregnancy, std, birth control, etc). The conversations between myself, the billing dept, and the insurance company was relentless. I finally got the bill down to $371 but the experience was absolutely horrible. I will never return to this office.

WORST DOCTOR IN THE WORLD!!!!! I came in two times after waiting literally 3 hours to see her and she did absolutely nothing. She was unable to solve my problem and always wanted me to come back so that she can have more money without resolving my issue. AVOID GOING TO THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS! It is not worth the wait time or money. She has absolutely the worst patient care and does not even know the patient history when she comes in to see you.

I was disappointed because DR. Shienbaum had me come in for an appointment for absolutely nothing. They charged me the co-pay before going to talk with the dr. She asked why I was there and if I had any concerns. I had none, she didn't examin me or do my pap. Really weird and really wasn't worth my time. The office charged me and my insurance company so that was an easy $182.37 for them.
