So me and a buddy of mine go to the Miller Ale House in Hollywood for the first time. We get there at 930pm May 7, we order drinks (Premium long island and a double captain morgan) along with a Burger and Mountain Melt. After the food came out and we eaten half of our meal some guy with a foreign name came to our table and TOLD us we have to pay $10 for the fight or he can give us to go boxes. So I was upset by this and went to speak to the Mgr who was standing at the door who didn't mention this when we walked in and all he could say was sorry. Well how does sorry fix my dining experience because even though he was sorry he still wanted us to pay the $10 even though nobody informed us before sitting down. And we weren't the only people that had a problem with this. So we sent our half eaten food and drinks back and went to Dave and Buster in the SAME plaza where they charge $3 cover at the door to get in even though we don't care for the fight it $3 compared to $10 rude service.
Since moving to Hollywood (Beach) seven months ago, I have eaten at the Ale House several times. The food is excellent - though I have to admit, I tend to get the same items over and over again: a lb of snow crab legs(for $9.99), and/or their jalapeno poppers which are a little expensive (when compared to the crab legs) - but unlike any I've had in other restaurants in that rather than serving jalepenos stuffed with cheese (which are a little too hot for me), theirs are a breaded mixture of cheese & jalapenos (I can't really explain it.) The (alcohol) drinks are very cheap (compared to other Hollywood restaurants) - and "they" have both drink & food specials everyday. The restaurant can get a little too loud at times - it does have a "sports-oriented" theme - and I am Not a sports person. However, you defintely get your "bang for the your buck" - I only wished I lived closer.

Since moving to Hollywood in July of this year, this bar/restaurant has become one of my favorite places. The food is cheap & good: a snow crab leg dinner for $9.99; a fried clam (large) appetizer for $5.99. My favorite, though, are the jalapeno poppers, which are a little pricy, but unlike any I've had at other restaurants - they're more like fried cream chesse with big pieces of jalapeno in them. Drink prices are also excellent - they have at least one or two specials everyday. And service (at the bar) is mostly very good, though at ""shift change time"", things can get a little unorganized. Unfortunately, I live too far away from the restaurant for it to be a regular ""hang-out"" for me. If you like good prices, a varied menu, and a casual atmosphere, where families are also more than welcomed, I would highly recommend you try this place out. (Note: The Ale House is actually part of a chain of ""Ale Houses"" located in Southern Florida - one of which is located on Pembroke Pines Blvd. This is the the only other one I've been to - and my expereinces there have been just as positive as those at the Hollywood ale house.)

Do not eat at hollywood ale house, it's a three ring circus. the waiters and waitresses don't use gloves when getting your food. I witness 3 disturbing things: A waitress place chicken on someones salad without gloves after handling condiments, a waiter who dropped a piece of chicken on the service counter and pick it up ungloved, then placed it back on the plate. The last and most disgusting thing was a waiter who put his finger in a patron's marinara sauce, then delivered it to the table. Did I complain, sure and was the waiter shocked, yes! He says to one of the cooks, ""Did they see me?"" I replied yes I did and told him how disgusting that was. He said he was checking to see how hot it was and I said with you finger? He could any number of diseases and now he's exposed patrons to it. What did manager Christian do, well, he took up for the waiter after myself and a friend saw all these disturbing things happen. It's a joke how these things happen in this reputable restuarant and nothing but covering up is done. I am completely outraged at how they put us patrons at risk! Don't eat there, its' disgusting.
