Located in Hollywood, Fla., the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 13,000 youths. Founded in 1965, it provides programs in the areas of education, health and life skills development and athletics. The organization also offers career and leadership skills development and recreational programs. It conducts classes in visual and performing arts and creative writing. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County provides the K .I.S.S. program, which offers various snack options for children between the ages of 7 and 17. The organization conducts various activities, including fishing, golf and snorkeling.
