LA Scene Tours of Hollywood

We took the L.A. Scene tour as part of our Halloween vacation plans. We had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was Alana, as I have to say she provided us with a very informative tour of Beverly Hills and some of the other areas we visited. We will definitely be coming back again. Thanks Guys.

I had purchased a Living Social deal for a 1 hour tour with this company. A reservation is required prior to taking the tour. The first problem is that NOONE ever answers the phone much less call you back when you get their voicemail. Second issue is the vans are DIRTY, FILTHY, HOT , with NO SHADE Above the seats. I saw plenty of other tour vans from other companies in the area with clean seats and floors with awnings so you won't fry to death while on tour. IT was a WASTE OF TIME & MONEY. We DIDN'T go to the Hollywood Sign as told in the description and saw only minimal homes that anyone could've toured on their own in the comfort of their own vehicles with a star map for less than $15 total! They try to CON you into buying a 2 hour tour and also tell you that all tours after noon time are only for the 2 hour prices/reservations, so you're basically stuck taking a morning tour whether you like it or not. They really need to rehab from top to bottom and specify clearly that 1 hour tours are only available during morning hours and not all day until 6 pm. The driver was friendly, but reckless and kept checking his text messages while driving. His humor was also a bit racy, even with children on board DURING THE MORNING HOURS. I do NOT RECOMMEND touring with this company.

I made special plans for valentines day and talked to a guy named John over the phone. After everything was said and done, I was supposed to be there with my wife on valentines day at 11am. I showed up 10 minutes prior and the guy I talked to named Scott said there was no tour at eleven. I was shocked, I explained that I made special plans, and Scott was being rude and brushed me off, he was upselling me instead and said we can do a private tour for $300, can u believe that? He said I only paid $24 per person and not to expect too much. Scott is a real cocky guy and I do not recommended anyone to go there. They did not accomadate me at all. Worst experience ever, do not go there. Luckily I was able to catch another ride with another tour.

Our driver Stan kept the tour moving... it was fun and fresh with new info about the stars and their whereabouts. As a friend of mine said, "When else do you have occasion to drive up and down the streets of Beverly Hills?" We drove around in an open top jeepish vehicle, wind blowing through our hair, hearing the latest details about the stars' home sales and plans for remodeling. My favorite detail? We sped by Madonna's mailbox. Yes, it's white and has a little roof on top.



Oddly enough, though this is probably one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in America, the tour reminded me of a favela tour I went on while in Rio di Janeiro. The favela tour was equally voyeuristic in nature; unexpectedly, however, I felt just as shocked by the "living conditions" in Beverly Hills as I did seeing the slums of Rio di Janeiro. I'm continuing to ponder this reaction, but for now I can say that the appeal of both tours was seeing how others live, imagining life in another's shoes. It's interesting and well worth the time.

We had some family coming in so I thought it would be fun to take a tour of the city even though I was born and raised in the LA vicinity. It was such a nice day, so we opted for the 2-hr open van tour. We had so much fun. We saw beautiful mansions of both old timer and modern stars. We also ventured into the Hollywood Hills area. LA is so beautiful from up there. We were able to see Catalina Island, Pacific Ocean, LA, and the San Fernando Valley.



Our tour guide Rico was hilarious. He kept us entertained throughout the 2 hrs. I would recommend him. fun fun fun

Sat in a open top bus and got about 2 hour tour of Hollywood Movie Star homes. You get a good narration from the driver and great shots of the homes as he stops. You don't get a chance to get out of the bus. Driver was knowledgeable and read a lot of facts he had got off the internet.



Saw homes of former Michael Jackson home, Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone, Madonna, Mark Wahlberg, Bob Barker (price is right), Tom Selluck (Magnum PI), Lawrence Fishburne (Morpheus in Matrix), Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings), Robert Pattinson (Vampire in Twilight), Jonas Brothers, Roseanne, Alfred Molina (Dr Octopus in Spiderman), Lindsay Lohan, Cher, Wolfgang Puck, B John, Elton John, Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio, Christina Aguilera, Ozzy Osbourne, Frank Sinatra, Burt Reynolds, Elvis, Dr Phil and more.

I went on the Hollywood Tour &LA tour this past weekend. I'm from LA but my friend & I thought it would be a fun and random adventure. And it was!



All the employees were really helpful and so friendly. We even made some new friends!



JJ was extremely helpful, and Mike was our tour guide and was quite funny (and knowledgeable- i learned so much about LA).



Great experience!

My husband and I take tours in every new city we visit and i have to sat, LA City Tours was the best one we've ever taken!! It did not leave anything about LA to the imagination...we literally saw everything we couldve ever wanted and more!!! the tour guide was awesome and he made us laugh a lot while also giving us an entertaining education on LA. i loved seeing the hollywood sign and all the celebrity houses--we saw so many! my husband enjoyed seeing mulholland drive, belair and sunset strip!! it was truly the best tour we've ever taken and we have been on a lot of them!
