Neptune's Tropical Fish

I just started back up in the hobby this year after taking a few years off. I love the staff at Neptunes and have spent hundreds of dollars on their fish ...each of them alive and well months later. They have even talked me out of several purchases when I was making a poor choice due to my particular set up. They are honest and although sometimes slightly higher priced ..I will continue to shop there!

Walk in there with a few questions the girl with the octopus tattoo was very insulting. she was extremely rude. they're just all about making money. high prices with siCk fish

Good selection of live plants and fresh water fish and shrimp. Staff is knowledgeable.

I was relatively new to having a marine aquarium. Having kept easy keepers alive for a year so I went in looking to get some additional fish. I have a 30 gal tank and told the employee that was helping me with my questions. She pointed out a juvenile dragon wrasse after having me explain my set up! After watching him grab my cleaner shrimp and bite a chunk out of the middle, obviously killing it and eating the rest, I looked up about the fish, neptunes sold me as "reef safe". On top of it they won't let me bring it back for store credit! Just get the run around as to call back this day or next week... I paid $75 for a fish to eat $200 plus in inverts and snails, easily.

Find a better fish store with better employees!



Picked out a Blue starfish from the tank, however, also noticed a second star in the same tank that was "throwing up" his innerds. Thought about not getting the starfish, and the sales person said, don't worry about it, this other one is fine, looks healthy etc. Well, 24 hours later mine was also throwing up, and is now dead. Horrible recommendation by their employee to have me purchase it. Equally bad on my part to think is was remotely ok to go ahead with it. Lesson learned :( Will never shop here again. BUYERS BEWARE!
