I hired Donald McKenna to build a deck for an above ground pool. He guaranteed he had 36 years of building experience and everything he needed to build the nice deck. After the deck was built I found out he had not village permit and license for the job. Village ordered to tear the deck down due to the code violation. As well as many other violations. The frame polls were not cemented 42" deep, only 32". The stars polls were build simply on the ground, not cemented by code. Spindles were too far apart and uneven... Nails are sticking out on the rails, spindles, and floor boards. Boards are not cut evenly. Stair rails are different hight. The deck built too close to the pool that the winter cover can't be installed...And so many more. to list.

The deck must go down and McKenna must return my money. He just ignores me now...Be aware of this builder who takes advantage of a single woman/parent.!!!! I wanted to enjoy the deck but now I have a headache, stress, problems , and waste of my time to filling the law suit against McKenna to get my money back!!
