OMG! Stay away! Shady dealings @ Baggio! I’m sad to write all of the bad reviews are TRUE; shady dealings, theft, disrespect, and greed are going on at Baggio. Norma E. Santamaria can’t be trusted and always kept using the word “yanya”; still not sure what that meant?! It’s a true shame because I know so many really trust her BUT you can’t; BEWARE! Thanks and have a great day!
never recieved my check for what I consigned! 1 of the items I left to consign was STOLEN! store is full of fake knock offs. terrible customer service. don't shop here!!!!
You are supposed to get 50% of the price that sells. That never happened. I got NOTHING. Norma, the owner, was supposed to pay me for the things I left to consign but NEVER did. She said she sent me a check in the mail but it never came. I told her and she refused to pay me and the remaining things I left there she refused to return. She chained that its now her property and she can keep whatever is left in her store for herself. I left some $$$ things and will never get anything for them. A ran into a former employee at Baggio and I was told that this happens a LOT. The way Baggio stays in business is that she rarely pays any of her cosigners or pays them a very small amount to keep them from asking to many questions. The blond lady is so snubby and rude and Norma is down right vulgar, disrespectful and a liar!
If you don't care about receiving any money then bring your things here! If you are a size 0, 6 foot tall, look like a model, are a super rich white west end women, they will LOVE you!
Please stay away from this place! Your treated so badly here its sad a place like this is in business. And people like this should be locked up and not allowed to work for the public!
I have never been treated so badly by anyone before. A tall blond girl and a lady who looks Hispanic where beyond distrustful to me. Literally threw the things I brought in to consign around and damaged 2 things and lost 1 thing. I've been to many thrift stores around town, Clementine, Diva Den, Hull Tree, you name it, and they are all more professional and respectful of people's clothes, shoes and bags then this store is. I am not sure who this Norma Santamaria person is with her "contacts" but I would not want my name to be associated with such a store. I told a close friend about my awful experience and she told me that she left a Black Kate Spade Diaper bag in Baggio to sell and never saw it again and never received any money for it. The owner claimed it was never brought in. Something fishy is going on in this store!

I went and was treated so badly I left in tears! The owner and her mean staff are subby, rude and grossly on a ego trip! The owner talked so badly to me I filled a complaint with the city of Richmond. I brought clothes in and NEVER saw them again and NEVER NEVER got my money. I asked around, esp. at Coplons where she used to work at before she got fired from them and found out that she steals people clothes and people never see anything in return! HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS???? The owner is NUTS!
ENOUGH SAID! SAY AWAY. THE PEOPLE WHO SAY ITS GREAT ARE LIARS!
I kept hearing about this great consignment boutique named Baggio. I decided to investigate and could not have been more pleased. The owner knows her designers, and whenever I am looking for something specific, she will call me and let me know what she has available. The owner is professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and treats her customers with genuine care and respect. I love going in because she and her staff are so friendly, and they know what I like. As far as consigning, my wardrobe, shoes, and bags are treated with great care. The owner will even take my things and have them dry cleaned so that they are ready to sell. Nothing has ever been lost; in fact, I often forget what I have consigned and the owner keeps such great records, she reminds me of what has sold and what has not. I don't have to worry about anything. And, to top it off, I get a check at the end of each month when my things sell. I don't have to keep up with my things because I have the owner there to do it for me--no worries. What I find despicable is reading the three pitiful negative reviews that are obviously written by a very disturbed individual who has no morals or values or sense of judgement. One big give away is the style of writing, as well as the poor grammar and bad spelling. Shame on you, whoever you are, trying to ruin the good name of a hard-working and lovely person who is making this business community a better place. You are a sick, sick person in need of a proper upbringing. And, please, for goodness sake, learn your English. Your attempt at writing is pathetic at best. For all others out there reading these reviews, please know that Baggio is a fun shopping experience that can be enjoyed over and over again. When I want to put a smile in my day, I plan a visit to Baggio, where I am always welcomed, and there is always a treasure waiting--a Louis Vuitton Speedy, or an Italian designed shirt (my favorite), or those perfect flats that I have always wanted. Baggio is a shopper's dream, a feel good experience, and all at bargain prices.
If you are fashionista with a Target budget than this is the place for you. I have found several pairs of shoes that I always get compliments on especially when I tell the designer and the price of the items. The personnel at the shop are always great and willing to assit you.
Very dishonest business owner. I asked for my remaining items that did not sell to be returned to me and she laughed and said, "if you can find it." The place is a mess. I found a few pieces of my clothing and left. She either sold, lost or gave away the pieces of clothing I could not find. I never recieved any money for what was not returned. It is a horrible business, I reported Baggio to the city of Richmond for illegal activities. Rude staff. Gross place. Stay away at all costs!
Sellars and Buyers Beware! I heard about Baggio through a co-worker. I called and asked if I could make an appt. to bring my clothes in, she asked what I had, and then asked if she could pick them up. I said ok. The lady that came, Norma Santamaria, with a big truck that backed up to my house. She took my clothes and left. I made a list of what I gave her. I called 2 weeks after I gave her my merchandise and she said everything sold, wait for a check at the end of the month. A check never came. I called again, the phone was temporialy disconnected. I went in person and meet Norma, the owner and she said that my check was sent out and then joked that maybe her dog ate it by mistake since I didn't get it. I asked her to confirm my address since I did not get it. She then said she wasn't feeling well and she would half to do that another day. She then said that possibly two pieces of my clothes may have been stolen or misplaced. I asked her why she said she sent my check out if she didn't, She then said she is so disorganized she must have forgotten that she didn't write me a check. I looked around and saw food and trash around. I smelled marijuana coming from the bathroom where a group of young teens where and I said forget it and left. I think she was drunk and high the entire time I was there. I told me friend what happened and she told me she never got a check for her items either and that norma is being investigated by the police for illegal activites. Stay away!
I went to Baggio for a few month with my clothes to sell. I brought in everything from chanel to prada to oscar de la renta. The best. The owner, a convicted jailbird that looks and speaks like she just got off the boat said I was supposed to get half of the sold price of the item, 50/50. I was happy to hear that so I brough in my clothes. I recieved for the first month a check with an amount on it but nothing indicating what sold and what didn't. I asked about that issue and this short, fat mexican told me I needed to not worry and that she is very trustworthy and upfront with her business. Then goes into a list of people that bring there clothes in and I really did not like her telling me other people business on what they brought in and who they where. I asked for all my remaining clothing to be removed. She started crying! She pulled it together and got my things and I left. I found out later she gave away some of my clothes to customers that she considered friends. I also found out she sold one of my items for $200 and I revieved $60!!!!! I have reported this business to the better businesses of Richmond and they are taking action! Stay away from this horrible and dishonest business at all costs!!!!!!
