This is an overall great company! They were excellent in every way possible. I received the best service, they cared about my home, everything was priced right, and they finish my job in such great timing! I loved everything start to finish!

I recently had Above Code do a bunch of miscellaneous work in my house and workshop. Lionel and his crew were friendly, reliable, and maintained good communication throughout the process. Most importantly they lived up to the Above Code name with safe, quality work. When I need electrical work done again, I know who I'll call.

My new oven unit wouldn't push back to the wall based on the location of the floor plug. Lionel had me text a photo of the plug so he could be sure that he had the right supplies upon arrival. Now it is flush with the wall, and my oven looks built in! During his visit, he also changed an outdated and broken ceiling fixture in my tiny laundry room. I hadn't opened the box, and the fixture required much patient assembly from him... Both projects were completed within an hour and at a fair price. Despite his committed schedule with large-scale electrical projects, Lionel was able to fit me in late one afternoon with minimal delay. This is the fourth time I have used Above Code, and I will continue to both call and refer them. I just hope they don't get too busy to answer- a reliable, reasonable electrician is hard to find, so I am not surprised by their success!

Above Code Electric was perfect! They were on time, fairly priced, and very pleasant to work with and have in our home. They switched out our old fuse box and also replaced several light swtches and power outlets. I have already recommended them to one family member and one friend.



We will definitely use them again for any of our future electrical needs.

Was glad I hired Above Code Electric to do a repair and modification in my home. It was easy to book an appointment and within a day, the technician was at my house. The technician was friendly, professional and thorough on completing the two projects. The cost was very reasonable for the time and effort he spent working on my project. I would hire them again.

I have had several great experiences with Above Code. The first time, they bid on a job that ended up falling through, but were still willing to come back. Every time, their service is prompt, the finished work is neat, and they were able to deal with some light industrial electrical issues that most electricians didn't want to touch. They were quite friendly, and the cost was very reasonable. I will continue to use Above Code anytime I need an fast, professional electrician.

Wow! Excellent service. I called at 10am for a light fixture that had come down from the ceiling. The electrician was here at 11 am and finished up his work in 30 minutes. He was extremely polite and efficient. He even brought a drop cloth and cleaned up after himself. I couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you!

Above Code Electric upgraded my electrical system from the original 100 amp service. This included working with Dominion VA Power to coordinate moving the panel box from the back porch area to inside the house, installation of the panel box and all other necessary steps outside of my knowledge base, and the inspections. I couldn't be happier with the work and dedication they gave to this job; I'm sure it wasn't easy. I won't hesitate to call on them again. Great Job!

I first used Above Code to install recessed lighting in my kitchen, as well as change some interior and exterior fixtures. When I wanted to add more lights, I immediately called them again.



After a kitchen fire, I needed to have the outlet for my range moved to accommodate the new appliance. Lionel Richard, the Master Electrician, took care of this in about an hour.



My husband changed out all of the light bulbs in our foyer chandelier last week- we were down to 4 of 15... (It's an onerous task requiring a 12 foot ladder on top of the kitchen table- only gets done every 5 years or so). Once the chandelier was at full capacity, a circuit breaker kept tripping- not a surprise considering the amount of computer/ tv/ stereo/ gaming equipment in the house AND the fact that I was putting up Christmas lights. Lionel showed up the next day and worked his magic.



I think Above Code has very fair pricing, quick response, and reliable service. I have ZERO clue about the technical side of electricity, but Lionel gives a great sense of confidence in his ability. He also takes care to consult with a homeowner about the aesthetics of a job, where applicable- such as number/ placement of recessed lighting cans, which wall switches are most used, practicality of different fixture types over an island, etc.



Now I'm saving my $$ for upgraded lighting in my living room!

We have now used Above Code twice. Both issues we had were extremely difficult because of the way our Condo is built. Everything is very difficult to access. They were able to install everything with needed and with very little mess. They were very good about not tearing up our drywall so we would not have much in the sense of repair work and very reasonable in price as well. I will continue to use them as long as they are in business. Thanks sooo much!!!!
