I've been a patient of Dr. Motz in the past, and although he's not full of personality, I thought he did a good job on my CT release. I took the stitches out myself (I do have medical training), and when I went back to him for a knee problem some months later, he brought up the fact I didn't return to have the sutures removed. He said, and I quote, "What did you do, chew them out of your hand?".

I let that pass...maybe he was trying to be funny. So recently, I reinjured my right knee. He schedules an MRI for me, then goes out of town and can't see me for 13 days. Since my knee HURTS, he prescribed 30 Ultram pills. Dosage prescribed as 1 to 2 every 4 to 6 hours as needed (is my math wrong, or does that add up to a possible consumption of 12 pills per day?). After 12 days (which equalas 2.5 pills PER DAY), I ask for a small refill until my appointment with him which is still 3 days away. Guess what....DENIED! Is Ultram the new cocaine or something?? Did I miss the news? Guess I'll have to overdose on ibuprofen for the next 3 days.

I have 2 jobs and a knee that shoots spears of pain through my spine with every step. I don't need his uncaring frame of mind...I found a new orthopedic surgeon.
