Very good chinese dishes and sushi selections! This location is never too busy, so it is easy to get a table during high traffic times. Beware of the curry dishes though because they are rather spicy.

We love to order several dishes and appetizers to all share "family" style because the portions are so large and you don't get rice or noodles with some of the meat dishes. The rangoons are awesome.

. anyway my wife and i have been going to fulins in hendersonville for about three years now. our main reason being the sushi chef, shelby. one of the best ive seen in the u.s. and rivals many i have encountered internationally while on business. one reason being he is a wonderful and extremely creative chef. anything you want he can make or mimick, but the real flavor is to request a "freestyle" order in which he would create a special recipe of his own. which was never the same twice unless you requested so. another reason being he was, extremely smart , intelligent , eccentric, and a very handsome young man(as my wife never failed to mention. very great people person.shelby was also very lingually talented and knowledgable. my wife and i are from bulgaria, one special reason we came to see him and eat at fulins was because we could order in our native language , and i mean speak as if we were to eachother , and conversate over our meal. he also spoke spanish , russian, ukrainian, and bulvish ( russian international language). i know this because i also speak these languages fluently as they are similar to my native tongue, having said that he spoke them as well if not better than my wife and i , so as we were always so impressed. especially due to the fact he was from seattle, USA. very uncommon for an american to speak proper english much less any slavic based or other foreign language. Moving on we were quite exited to see our chef .after sitting at the sushi bar we were greeted by a "sushi chef", NOT shelby who we knew was only off tuesdays as we planned our visits as so he would be our chef. it was a thursday evening. . so i asked the chef where he was and he replied " hes not here anymore im your chef now" in a quite rude tone. i asked to clarify , not here this week? in which he answered "no not at all we had to let him go". being shocked and confused we proceeded to attempt our order. we requested a freestyle sushi roll ,we were told that was not allowed and we had to order off the regular menu or not at all. rude. so we ordered , honada roll, phoenix roll, spider, and snow mountain. maybe shelby spoiled us , but this was the most terrible sushi i have ever tried to eat. we each sampled every roll and decided not only was it nothing like our usual chefs preperations, but inedible. cold rice, dirty plate, not fresh "fishy"fish. so of coarse we asked to speak to the manager on duty. well, twenty minutes later a man im guessing was every bit of sixty years old and barely five feet tall approached us in a very unprofessional manner. not only was he rude but not at all meant to work in customer service of any kind. Anyway he denied us a discount on our food even though we did not eat barely any( one piece of each) his response being "im sorry, maybe next time you can try another dish , perhaps a chinese dish. so we asked about shelby. this man , andrew i think he said , completely talked of our former chef/server in such a bad way i dont feel it appropriate to post to this site. lets just say not the way you speak of someone unless they beat up your mother or child. i have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in all my life. much less to speak disrespectfully of a former employeee , to a customer!! once again ,i dont feel the details are appropriate for this site. anyway we had an expired groupon , which is worth its face value,$20. well we were denied. quite upset i approached the manager in which he gave no sympathy and respectfully asked me to leave . im dissapointed because this used to be such an enjoyable place to eat. at least when they had shelby there was one one good aspect.i will never go back .ever. o would reccomend to steer clear and save yourself the trouble.

worst place ever. should have never gotten rid of shelby. hes the best chef in nashville period. i had a terrible experience here and i knew it would hace been better with him there. shelby being fired will close that place alone. nasty non- fresh sushi , very rude and unprofessional manager/owner. save yourself the time and money.
