Dr. Tracy Callister formed Tennessee Heart in Hendersonville in 1984 and has served many Nashville-area hospitals with cardiac care during that time. He is a graduate of UCLA School of Medicine, completed his cardiology fellowship training at the University of Vermont and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.Dr. Callister is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.Dr. Callister is an internationally recognized leader in the field of CT, having been trained well beyond the ACC requirements for all levels. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease and a member of The American College of Chest Physicians, The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Callister also serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging (Austin, TX) and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT).Dr. Callister has been published in numerous medical journals on topics related to cardiovascular disease including the progression of heart disease and the use of new technologies to diagnose and treat heart disease. His work has been published in noted medical journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, Chest, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and Radiology.
