Memorial service Sept. 11, 2010 for Todd Brown.
I was blest to have attended this service. During the service Todd's sister spoke of his life telling of a loveing father and husband that he was. what struck me the deepest was to hear that the Valle Vista Assembly of God Pastor was the only one to allow Todd's service to be held in his church. Other churches turned the family down because of Todd's association with a motorcycle club called the Vagos.
This wonderful Pastor gave a short sermon on the Good Samaritan in the Bible. I understood what he was saying in part that we all must not just give lip service to those who are sick and in need of healing but we must act and act out of love to be of service to reach out and touch who ever is in need. Siners, rich, poor and the none beleivers.
He came to heal the sick not just the righteous. With these Church doors being open to the Vagos and a pastor's heart being filled with love on that day in a room full of siners, was a time I will not forget. God is Good. I know that a lot of lives were turning to Jesus by the end of that service.
Thank you dear Pastor for the love you showed us all by opening up your doors to the "Vagos and to Todd's family" on that blessed day when Todd went home to our Lord.
God Bless you ministry,
"JC" , a member of the San Gorgonio Pass "Vagos"
