How do I search for local businesses and events?

Select the appropriate tab (Businesses or Events) and tap the magnifying glass in the upper left corner of your iPhone screen to enter the Find Business or Find Event search view.

Once you’re in the search view, enter a search term and location and tap Search.

What types of locations can I search by?

You can search for businesses or events using your current location, city and state, street address, or ZIP code. To search for businesses or events near your current location, just tap on the target icon to the left of the Where field in the Business or Event search view to activate current location detection. Tap on the target icon again to deactivate current location detection.

To search for businesses or events near a city/state, street address, or ZIP code, enter the information in the Where field. When you’re searching near a street address, please enter a comma between the address and city/state.

How do I create a plan?

You can create a plan directly from the My Plans tab, or by adding selected businesses and events to new or existing plans from the Businesses and Events tabs. To create a new plan from the My Plans tab, just tap the plus icon in the upper right corner of your iPhone screen. Then you can enter the following elements to your plan: title, notes, locations and contacts.

To add a business or event to a new plan, tap on the plus icon at the bottom of a business or event detail page and select the Add to a New Plan button.

To add a business or event to an existing plan, tap on the plus icon at the bottom of a business or event detail page and select the Add to an Existing Plan button. Then select a plan from the My Plans list.

How do I share businesses, events or plans with friends?

To share a business, event or plan with friends, tap on the forward arrow icon at the bottom of a selected business, event or plan detail screen.

Enter the e-mail addresses of friends in the To field. Enter your name and e-mail address in the appropriate fields, type a message (optional) and tap Send. Your friends will receive the plan via e-mail.

How do I save favorite businesses?

To save a favorite business for future reference, tap on the plus icon at the bottom of a business detail page and select the Add to Favorites button. You can access the business listing from the Favorites tab.

Can I reference recent searches?

Yes. Tap on Favorites and select the Recents tab. Select one of the recent business or event searches from the list and then you can re-run your search.

How do I find maps and directions to a business or event?

To find maps or directions to a business or event, tap on the location field in the business or event detail screen.

This will open the Google Maps app where you can view a map or get directions to or from your destination. To return to the YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile app, return to the iPhone home screen and select the YPmobile icon.
