My dog Kali had been lazy, uninterested in food and wasn't acting right- I knew something was wrong when she didn't get better after a a couple days. I called my regular vet and they said she was fine and probably just in a dry heat cycle. I wasn't convinced, so on a friends recommendation, I called Dr. Budde's office.
The front staff seemed to know a lot about dogs and got me an appointment right away. In no time, I was in the room with Dr. Budde and she went over everything she wanted to do for her in a very detailed way. It was all a bit overwhelming but she took her time in telling me what she was worried was going on.
I had never gotten Kali spayed and was totally unaware that dogs can get infections that if goes untreated, they will die. Kali was in the beginning stages and since Dr. Budde caught it right away, Kali had surgery and is going to be alright. If I had waited and watched her, she wouldn't be with us today.
This was by far the most horrifying experience any dog lover could ever go through, and I thank the lord that I had such a great team working on my little girl- thanks to you guys, I look forward to many more happy healthy years with her!
My kitty had been showing signs of being sick for a while, I just couldn't afford to bring her in, so I waited. I went to another vet and since I didn't have enough money to do $500 worth of tests, they told me to put her to sleep. When I went to see Dr. Budde, on a friends recommendation I was a little bit nervous about how she would treat me knowing my situation.
I was so relieved to have the staff and the Dr so understanding about what I could and couldn't afford. Tiger had been peeing out of the box for almost a month so they said it was probably an infection. I couldn't afford to test her but I wanted to do something. Dr. Budde put her on antibiotic and sent me home with fluids and told me that it was a good shot and if it didn't work, we could try different ones next time, or we would have to make some big decisions.
To my relief, the fluids and antibiotics worked! Tiger was eating and drinking normally again, and peeing in her box . I am so thrilled that the plan worked, was prepared for the worst... I have Tiger on a special diet to help prevent her from getting sick again, and it is worth every penny.
Thank you Dr. Budde for saving Tiger... with out you and God I wouldn't have my precious angel her with me today!
