My two girls started dancing for Tari in 2008 through 2010 (competing in the 2009/2010 season). Due to personal reasons we left in 2010 to try out a few other studios in the area. Huge mistake!! Being a dancer myself, over 20 years (most of which was at Tari's) I had certain expectations of what I wanted for my girls (which Tari had provided all along); technique was vital not only for the art of dance itself but also to prevent injury. Over the last two years, we not only danced at other studios but attended other studio's recitals in search of trying to find something comparable to Tari's...we were unable to find it and the girls were losing their love for dance! Over the last two years both of my girls have repeatedly requested to go back to Tari's. With comments like, "Tari makes us better dancers" and "Tari makes us want to work harder", I realized that not only did Tari and her instructors produce incredible dancers (you should definitely check out her recitals and competition team - never a dull dance!) but more importantly she created a work ethic in children from a young age. My girls are now 9 and 11 and it is amazing to me that they already recognize this! We returned to Tari's this year and already can see a significant change with the girls...they never want to miss a class, the techique that they had started to lose is coming back, they feel challenged, and they are having fun dancing again!! Tari is firm with her dancers and does have expectations for each child to excel to their own personal capability...but Tari is also kind and does take personal interest in each child. My only regret is that I didn't realize this sooner!!!
