Marian Lalevee is a credentialed nutrition professional with over 25 years of clinical nutrition and diabetes education experience working for Cape Cod Hospital, Fontaine Medical Center, a Joslin Affiliate and the May Institute, helping clients on Cape Cod achieve their wellness goals. MISSION STATEMENT: to act in dedicated collaboration with patient and physician with commitment to providing a client centered program with individualized and comprehensive nutrition intervention to promote health and improve quality of life. MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY: to reinforce your understanding of nutrition in relation to cholesterol, blood pressure, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies, metabolic syndrome/prediabetes and diabetes, obesity and disordered eating. DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT: to improve your quality of life and health by leaning how to monitor blood sugars, attain and maintian optimal blood sugar levels, understand medication use and reactions with food, avoid complications, plan meals, count carbohydrates, decipher food labels and increase physical activity. WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: to help you achieve successfull lifelong weight management by providing guidance, encouragement, emotional and nutrition support with sesitive intervention and couseling for a positive body image. Lalevee has post graduate certificates from Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston, the Internation Diabetes Center, MN and the Johnson &Johnson Diabetes Institute, San Jose.
