Overall

I saw Dr. Kruger because my cat has had behavior issues since he turned 1 years, and now around strangers. I made an appointment to get blood work done to make sure it was not a UTI, Kidney infection, or an issue with his liver. Off the bat euthanasia was suggested because according to them, cats are wild animals and some are too dangerous. I would never lead a conversation on behavior modification with let’s put the cat down, I would say here is what we can try, and go from there. They never asked me any detail about the behavior, and I had to ask all the questions. They never did a wellness check, nor did they touch him, yet I was charged twice for a wellness check. The one scheduled the next day and the one that never happened. After I dropped him off the next day I asked when I could pick him up, they said they would call me. I asked for a time estimation, their response well call you when he's ready. They call me less than an hour later. I pick him up and they are surprised that I was there to pick him up. There was no communication. Again I had to ask 20 questions of what to watch for while he’s still recovering from anesthesia, all I get from the staff is he will be sleepy. I get him home it takes 12 hours for him to come out of the anesthesia. I put him on a towel with a heater under it to keep him comfortable. It took 8 hours for him to be able to get up and move during this time he peed himself twice, and he would fall asleep with his tongue hanging out of his mouth with his eyes half open. I called 3 times. The first two calls I was told drowsiness was normal, and the third I got to speak with the vet. She told me they gave him a half dose and he should be up and walking around already. I ended up getting to the ER vet in Waukesha before he woke up. After this I went to the clinic to get my cats records. I get there the desk clerk was nice enough, when I asked for everything she gave me half of his records. I had to ask for the records we gave them from his neuter she was snippy with me, “Don’t you have a copy of those.” I said yes, but I want to make sure I have all the correct documentation and nothing is missing from my records so when I go to his new vet I have all the correct documentation. She rolled her eyes at me gave me a copy and the other desk clerk, is making a face. I don t care what you think but please wait until I leave the clinic before you are rude and make a comment to your co-worker, that’s the devil cat owner right? That comment was uncalled for. He was fine with my husband and I, but as soon as anything new came into the house he would go into fight mode. No one could go near him, until he calmed down. There were other issues with his parents that he may have inherited, but the point is, I felt this clinic was not up to the task of helping my cat. The staff was almost ignorant, and it felt like the vet did not care to get to the core issues of what was causing his issues. I hear wonderful things about how they deal with dogs, but I would never take my pets there again.
