I actually did not have Dr SamsonI had his associate this man is the worst dentist ever. went in for root canal it was the worst experience in my life. 2 days after the procedure the temp fell out after replacing the temp week later that fell out. was told its my fault because I grind my teeth. I finally get my permanent crown in less than a month it falls out. the man throws hands up and tells me sorry if nothing else I can do for you. had to go to another dentist get it pulled and replace it with a partial when I got the tooth pulled the other dentist said it was a bad dentistry, and my mouth was infected. the moral of this story save yourself time money an infection.

Dr.samson is awesome. Whoever wrote a bad review of him, met with his fill-ins cuz he is only at each office certain days a week. Not thrilled with his fill-ins but he is wonderful. I have had bad experiences with dentists but he chabged all that. My hubby even loves him and will only see him and he never liked dentists either. If u r actually seeing dr samson definately recommend him but not his fill-ins

i am NEVER going back to this man again. he has absolutely NO bedside manner. during the extraction of my bottom left wisdom tooth i FELT him drillling in my mouth. the novicane didnt work and i started crying and hyperventalating on the chair. he put more novicane in my mouth and left the room for 20 minutes without a word. then he returned to finish. once again i felt him drilling and this was the worst pain and scariest of my life. worse than my c section. so he stopped again, gave me more novicane, left and came back 5 minutes later. once again i asked him to stop and he wouldnt. " its almost out" he kept saying. then after he ripped it out of my mouth he proceeded to tell me i cried like a 2 year old and that i was faking. he gave me no instructions for care just told me to wait 30 minutes to eat. not when to change the gauze, how to clean it, if i have to have the stitches removed(which fell out 10 minutes after i left). i couldnt stop crying once i left bc i was both terrified and relieved to be out of there. he expects me to come back in a week to remove the other 2. f*** NO!!!! i will never go back to him and i will never reccomend him to anyone. even my worst enemy. if i could do something to have his license removed i would. PLEASE if your considering him, trust me, DONT!!

I visited the Hartford office today and this will be my last visit to this office. I have never in my life been treated so horribly. I was intimidated to the point I was afraid to make any sounds of any kind. I cried silently during the entire procedure and I was threatened several times with him telling my he would stop working on me if i could not get my emotions under control. When I left my eyes were red and swollen. When my son picked my up he asked my what happened and I justed started crying all over again. The dentist was rude and arguementative. He was stopped each time i made any indication that i was in pain. He stopped several times during the procedure to tell me he could always stop and I could go elsewhere. He eventually told me that I was not to make any noise of any kind and if i felt pain I was to raise my left hand . At one point when he threatened to stop working on me when the tooth he was extracting was only half way out. Each time I attempted to swallow he said I was biting him even though my mouth was still wide open. He was so rough and uncaring that he he puled on my lips so hard that it made my nose hurt. When I say I have never been treated so horribly ever, I don't just mean by a dentist, I mean by anyone ever.

Dr. Sampson has a office in Old Saybrook that my family has been going to for years. It all started when my youngest, Sabrina, had rotten front teeth at age 6. It was hard to find a pediatric dentist that took Husky Insurance and when I was given a list of dentists, he was the only one who did both. We live in Meriden and Old Saybrook is quite a ride but it was worth it. The staff was great and he did everything in one visit. She needed root canal on both front teeth (other dentist wanted to rip them out!) and I stayed by Bina the whole time and he was talking to her not as a child but as person and reassuring and when he finished, I couldnt believe the results. Back in the day, when I needed root canal, it was usually a 2 or 3 trip procedure (that's why people say they "would rather have root canal than ..." root canal being the lesser evil) , but when he was finished with her, they were perfect and was done in one trip!! He became the family dentist after that!! I would gladly drive to Old Saybrook to have him work on me or the kids. Now that he's in Hartford, thats where we're going. I had to go to his partner's office (she's very good too) last Friday (Sampson still has his office in Old Saybrook and works in both) and she recommended that I go to him this Friday because I have a crappy tooth and she wanted to pull it and I said no, so off I go to Hartford!! I highly recommend his Hartford and Old Saybrook offices!
