If the word gets out about this location, it should do quite well. It is in the new High Pointe strip mall in Swatara where Target and JCPenny are the anchor stores. It's a full service location with repair and sales staff. I was most impressed by how the staff really worked to maximize every possible discount, rebate, and special offer available to you so that you get the best deal possible. Try getting that at some of the other area locations, especially the Jonestown Road store which is generally packed and whose salespeople are, quite frankly, aweful! I initially purchased a phone without input from the store employees. I saw it on the net and thought it looked cool. I found that I hated it and returned it without any problems. I'm usually very leery of salespeople, but an employee recommended what has turned out to be a fantastic phone that suits my needs. I really wish I got the name of the woman who helped me both times I was in the store. I believe she was a manager. This is really the best Verizon location in the Harrisburg area.
I love Palumbo's, because they have such a vast varity of gourmet pizza's! I never know what to get. So I try every new pizza they have when I go either for lunch or late nights downtown. Pittsburg Pizza is my second favorite, but nothing in this world is as good as GRANDMA Pizza.!!!!! They are very creative with their pizza's, plus it's real gourmet not just toppings like every other pizza places in the area. Each pizza has it's own type of sauce for each pizza. Palumbo's also has great bolie's and subs on home made bread. If your in the area of Harrisburg, a must try!! I have been going to Palumbo's since I was a kid, it is like a Harrisburg area icon. Hey Palumbo's if that Grandma Pizza is your grandma's receipt tell her I love her for it!!!!
I'm not sure what these other 2 reviewers are doing because they are babbling about verizon wireless, this review is for BROTHERS PIZZA not VERIZON. read before you write people!!!! anyway, my husband WORKED next door to this pizza shop at the verizon actually and he would go in all the time for the food. They have amazing fries that taste kind of like those crispy battered type fries and their ranch dressing is phenomenal to dip the fries in. When we want pizzeria food we drive 10 mins away to go to Brother's Pizza instead of Marino's Pizza which is 1 min away from us because the food is worth the drive!!!!! they have awesome wraps and they come WITH fries which is crazy for $6!!!! LOVE this pizza place!!!!!
.......and hope they continue making improvements in the atmosphere of the restaurant!! The food at any Robert's is always GREAT. The subs are my favorite and are always fresh & tasty and I'd give 5 stars for the food!!!! They guys who used to work there were much friendlier and customer focused than the ones who were there today. I used to go there 1X/week but the place got very dirty looking, so I was glad to see some sprucing-up happening. Hopefully by the enxt time I stop in they will have cleaned up everything and gotten employees who are customer friendly.
I eat food from Marino's all the time. Food is great and never have any problems with orders. Staff is very friendly and know me by my voice whenever I call in an order. They now offer discount cards. Buy at least $6 worth of food and get a stamp. Get 8 stamps and you get $6 off your next order. They also have an online web site you can order from but I can't remember the url. The owners name is Steve and i'm sure he'll be happy to say hi when you stop in.
Had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch today. After leaving Newtown Grill from a bad experience (see my full review), La Locanda saved us from disaster. Our entire party was seated quickly and the service was excellent. The food was superb especially the Lobster Bisque soup and Fritata special. We were not rushed and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would highly recommend visiting. We even met the owner who wanted to ensure we had a great dining experience.
I'm originally from northern New Jersey where there are great italian restaurants everywhere. Since moving to central pa, we searched for good restaurants. In this area there are two great places. Rillo's in Carlisle and Gabriella,s in Harrisburg. I can not decide which is the best of the two, but with out a doubt, Gabriella's has excellent pasta and seafood (great oysters on the halfshell). My wife and I alternate between the two places.
The "Chicken under a brick" or something like that was amazing. I loved it and have gone back several times. If you don't eat carbs like I don't then this is the most perfect and well prepared dish for this kind of restaurant. The ambiance is great with the exception of the sound of a fan blowing out of the fire pit. We also sit at the bar but you have to avoid those seats near the fan. It is like a tornado with vibrations and all.
the food was absolutely delightfull. the service was amazing all the staff was exceptionally nice and willing to make and or do what ever was requested. i would recommend this establishment to anyone who likes good food and a nice enviroenment. the pizza was perfect the subs were packed full. the dinners. were simply amazing. i will go and eat there whenever i can. thx marinos pizza for the delightfull dining experience
We tried almost every pizza joint in the Harrisburg area and found nothing but so-so product. We stumbled on Naples while in the Union Deposit area and thought we'd give it a try. BEST pizza in the area. A New York style pie with perfect crust-a little chewy but not tough. It has become our Friday night place for pizza for a while now. Not a fancy place but clean and the help is very cordial.
