I admit that I know next to nothing about how the criminal justice system works, so I was definitely worried when faced with finding a reputable bail bondsman. I'm so glad that I called Barnett Bail Bonds. I had no idea as to how to choose a bail bondsman, and when I asked someone at the courthouse, they suggested I might find one in the group of bondsmen who hang around the courts, which didn't really seem like the best way to go about finding the caliber of person that my loved one or I needed. After reading an online article on the best bondsmen in Hampton Roads, I called one of the names listed. I really didn't get the sense that the person on the other end of the line was very friendly or helpful, let alone one of the best in the business. Having a loved one in jail is in itself a very stressful situation, and all of the related decisions that have to be made definitely add to that stress. Choosing the right bondsman can help to alleviate some of that stress, so I decided that reading online reviews might help in my search. Barnett Bail Bonds had some of the best, most consistent reviews of all the individuals listed. In person, Mr. Barnett was prompt, pleasant and very knowledgeable about his field. He took the time to answer patiently all of my many questions. It's unfortunate that people sometimes pad their online sites with fake reviews to fool potential clients, but I can attest that the service you receive from Barnett Bail Bonds lives up to the many five-star reviews. Mr. Barnett's Service was PHENOMINAL!!! His slogan speaks for itself. Two additional adjectives I would add to the service I received from BBB would be 'professional' and 'compassionate'. His knowledge and creativity assisted us in securing the release of my son.
I had contacted other bail bond agencies BEFORE contacting Barnett Bail Bonds and none were neither able or motivated to the extent as was Jeff. He took the time to figure out what the complications were with the bail, resolved them, and subsequently the bailout was able to take place. Even my attorney was baffled as to how he made it happen.
Rarely do I have the time nor initiative to write such reviews as this one. However, in this case, it would be inappropriate and remiss of me NOT to do so. It is important that those who have committed themselves to excellence be recognized and encouraged.

Barnett Bail Bonds is the best bail bonds company in Virginia. They were reliable and fast. He even beat me to the jail.

The owner is very friendly and will really help you out. He walked me through the entire process and waited with me until my friend was released. [(Other bail bonds companies don't do that, they just take your money, sign the papers for them to be released and leave! This happened to a couple of my friends and their people were not released until hours later from OTHER companies. One time my friend said the bondsman didnt complete the paperwork right so they were waiting for hours for nothing.)]

He is the best and most dedicated bail bondsman in the area. I met Barnett about a year ago. I had to bond out my brother for a $1,000 bond. I called at least 10 "so-called" "24 hour bail bondsmans" and most of them hung up on me, a couple said they will get to me in the morning they need to sleep and some other crazy stuff. I finally called him and he said he would be down at the jail in 8 minutes. He was true to his word and got everything done really quickly. Just had to wait on the jail to take forever. Ever since then, i only work with him. He is way too reliable and hard working not to give him his recognition. #SALUTE

Best bails bondsman in this area. Called like 7 other bondsmen before I called him. Half of them didn't answer the phone, the other half wouldn't accept a payment plan and wanted all of the money!! SMH

Mr. Barnett is awesome. He is so fast getting to the jail and getting everything done quickly. He bonded my sister out and I was frantic and really didn't know what to do. Thank you Barnett. I called Barnett Bail Bonds when my sister got arrested. I didn't know where to start or where to go. I had called another 2 but they were all about the money and really didn't explain much. We have never had any contact with the criminal system before. Barnett was able to post bond immediately for her making her time in jail very short. He walked me through the whole process from beginning to end. He told me to seek an atty and helped me with what questions I should ask and offer ideas I otherwise would not have thought of. The nicest and most helpful bondsman you will ever meet. He genuinely cares about people and is always working. I thought nobody would answer the phone at 5AM but he immediately was able to locate my brother. My brother was intoxicated and was not able to call me so the deputy called me and left me a voicemail letting me know that my brother was arrested but didn't tell me the location or bond amount or any charges! Mr. Barnett called me back within 3 minutes with my brother's location, bond amount, and charges. He also was at the Jail within 10 minutes and got the paperwork started immediately. He truly made this traumatic experience a lot more pleasant!

Everyone who commented earlier wasn't lying. This guy is really fast and reliable. He was the only one who answered the phone around 2 am yesterday morning. He was there before us and already started the paperwork with the jail so by the time I finished filling out his application, my girlfriend was already walking through the door.
