This was actually the first home my wife and I purchased together after getting married, and thanks to you the experience was wonderful! We had been to quite a few other places between Hammond and Baton Rouge and I can tell you none of them came close to your level of customer service and professionalism. You gave us all the information we wanted while making us feel none of the pressure, which is a feat those other places couldn’t seem to touch. From the first day of browsing the lot till the day we signed the papers we just felt taken care of. We had such a good experience that I recommended you to my cousin, and he and his wife purchased their new home from your office as well. Again thanks for everything. Our experience with ya’ll was smooth as silk, and a special thanks to you Mr. Melvin for all your help and well wishes.

WARNING WARNING PLEASE READ THIS I BOUGHT A HOME FROM LANE THOMAS HOUSING & PAID IT FULL 1YR. & 1/2 ago.They told me I would receive my title in 8 to 10 days OF COURSE I DIDN'T TOOK ALL MY PAPERS dowm there again Lane Thomas signed again &again promised I would have my title in 8 to 10 days.As of today 11/5/15 I STILL HAVENT RECIEVED IT & have called & called & went to the office no return calls & nobody could help in the office but most definitely knew exactly who & what I came for!! As far as coming bk after home was delivered to take care of cracked ceilings ect.thats a joke never responded.I have took Legal Action against Lane Thomas & Lane Thomas Housing! What is really a shame & mockery is all the Christian signs in the windows & doors using God to draw Business! They are Liars,Scammers & Cheaters! Their word is GARBAGE! I am warning innocent hardworking people! Do not Do Not Do any business with Lane Thomas Housing.Im reporting them to "Duck Dynasty thee Robertson family they have their Banners all over they are disgracing them.

Liars, Cheaters, and Thieves! Do NOT do business with these people! They tell you one thing, do another, and refuse to talk to you or honor their word! They get really ugly with you when you try to make them stand by THEIR word! They are trying to steal my deposit that they assured me they would refund!

Very Horrible. My Fiancé and I went there and was looking around at different ones, this Salesman, MELVIN RUSHING, said he would love to help us out, putting God and his Christian beliefs in it and making me happy with everything going on. We fount a trailer we loved and then provided all our personal information to get a first buyer loan. We got all the information that was "Covered", as of, the sewer and well, and then later on we got Approved for the loan. We was so happy. Now, we are fixing to sign papers on our First Home together, and ask how much the check was going to be for the Sewer and well, and was ripped off and Melvin, was going to charge is way more then what he told us in the beginning. Melvin Rushing, also did this recent to my cousin and her fiancé. This man, Melvin Rushing, is ripping people off, especially young people and couples. WATCH OUT! It is very sad how a man can put God into all of this and then use it against him. Defiantly Highly Do NOT recommend Melvin Rushing or Lane Thomas Housing!!!!

Thank God my bank wasn't able to contact them for verification. Nobody answered the three phone calls they made. Their salesman, Johnny, was very unprofessional from the beginning but I really wanted the unit so I let it go. Then he told me he was emailing me the paperwork my bank needed on Friday but didn't claiming that their scanner was down and being repaired. Promised to send it first thing Monday morning. I was in town Monday so I dropped by the office to pick it up in person. Nothing was ready, he didn't even remember the particulars of the deal we made and tried to renegotiate them. After everthing was agreed upon, he handed me a purchase agreement that said they didn't place the pad or do hookups even though verbally he told me they did and he crossed out the line item that said they didn't include the steps. Not even a set of wooden steps? Really? But I was anxious to get it, I'd been looking a long time for something I really liked and went along with it. But as I said, when the bank called no one answered the phone. I called him on his cell and he said to give bank his cell number and call him and then he would know to answer the phone. My loan officer said that was real sketchy and maybe I should rethink it. At that point I started asking around and heard nothing good. One man even said they brought the wrong unit and wouldn't do anything about it. Then I came across this site and immediately called my loan officer and cancelled the transaction. I will never do business there again and will tell everyone I know not to do it either.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
They are so full of lies, deceit, and manipulation, and use Christian signing to create a facade of trust but these are not Christian people. This place should be put out of business for their practices. They change your paperwork and agreements at the last minute. They also do not deliver anything they promise. I even paid for upgrades I did not receive and I know they were written in our agreement initially but then conveniently deleted. Please save yourself from these people and don't even bother doing business w them.

The service that his workers offer is terrible they won't help you and my brand new mobile home has mold growing in it, insulation is full of water underneath the mobile home, someone took a dumb in my toilet and they delivered it to my house like that! I went up there on Saturday and was told to leave because no one there could help me! Not a good place to do business! Will never purchase nor advise anyone to purchase anything from them ever again!

their ad on yellow pages .com said parts dept. and infact they dont sell any parts nor would they recomend anyone .. not a good co. to do business with .. what if you bought a house from them and it needed repaired ? you would have to wait for god knows who to come fix it .

I WAS APROVED FOR A LAND/HOME PACKAGE. THEY GUARANTEED A PRICE FOR $598. THAT INCLUDED LAND, HOME, IMPROVEMENTS, DELIVERY, SETUP, AC AND SKIRTING. IT ALSO INCLUDED THE INSURANCE. ALL I NEED WAS TO GET THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT ON THE LAND. I CALL MELVIN RUSHING UP A FEW DAYS LATER AND HE TRIES TELLING ME MY NOTE WENT UP TO $608 AND THAT DID NOT INCLUDE THE INSURANCE! I TOLD HIM NEVERMIND I DO NOT WANT IT. LANE THOMAS HIMSELF CALLS ME THE NEXT DAY AND TELLS ME THAT THEY WILL MEET MY PRICE EVEN IF HE HAS TO "BITE THE BULLET" AND THAT MELVIN WILL NOT GET HIS CUT. HE ASKED ME TO COME IN THE NEXT MORNING. I COULD NOT GET THERE EARLY AND LANE THOMAS WAS GONE. FRANK (FROM FINANCE) TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. I WASTED A HALF A TANK OF GAS TO BE TOLD THE SAME THING THEY TOLD ME ON THE PHONE THE 1ST GO ROUND! THEY WOULDNT EVEN CALL MR. THOMAS TO SEE WHAT WAS SAID! THEY CLAIM GOD IS WATCHING YOU.....WELL I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT GOD THEY WORSHIP! THEY ARE USING GOD TO MAKE MONEY! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WORD! REMEMBER LANE THOMAS, MELVIN RUSHING AND FRANK.....GOD IS WATCHING YOU TOO!!!!!

The finance manager at Lane Thomas (Gary) is very rude, lied to us about our application and avoided our calls. Also I lost 300.00 dollars because of him. There finance department is very slow. I would not recommend them to any one!
