Older vet nice, I had him for years with my other pets. I am no longer bringing my dogs there due to the son and his bedside manner towards my dogs.I went to him regarding a problem my dog was having. He said he could do nothing about it and said mu dog had to lose weight. WELL I took my dog to another vet a month later cause the problem was getting worse and they said he shouldve been put on medication right away that day cause he couldve died and the problem had nothing to do with th...view moree weight of my dog.And the new vet said my dog was not overweight. As you can see now I no longer am taking my dogs to tillou and my dog is doing very well now.view lessShare Review

I was going to Dr. Tillou's vet office for a couple of years with my cats. The last time I went I saw the son, Dr Tillou Jr. for the first time. He had no compassion for my cat at all. He handled my cat very roughly by grabbing him by the scruff and flipping him on his side very roughly. My cat was not being aggressive whatsoever, just was scared to come out of his carrier. The vet would not give me a straight answer on how many calories my overweight cat should be eating when I asked ...view morehim. I tried to share my many concerns over my cat's weight and skin problems of dandruff when he demanded to see my hands to prove that mine were dry at this time of year too. I told him that I have eczema and psoriasis and worked in a field where I am constantly washing my hands so my hands would not be a good example. Before I could also tell him that it was a year long problem with my cat's skin, he threw me, my daughter and my cat out of his office and still charged us for the visit even though we never completed it. The visit before that, my cat was diagnosed with tape worms and treated. When I inquired if my other cat should also be treated I was told no. Now two years later it is showing that my other cat does indeed have worms also (They have not had fleas and they do not go outside and I treat them with Advantage so I am assuming he has had them all along.) This would explain his decrease in activity and appetite and his weight loss. I would not go to this vet again if you paid me and if my cat is sick due to a long term worm infection, I am seeking legal action. Don't even want to give this joke of a vet one star but have no choice. Avoid this vet at all costs if you value your animals health.view lessShare Review
I've been taking my dogs and cats to Dr. Tillou for at least 15 years and I love both father and son. Their prices are reasonable and they don't push extra tests or procedures. The woman answering the phone is courteous and helpful. They're always busy but I've never had to wait long to see the doctors. They're both knowledgeable and compassionate and I feel confident with their diagnosis.Share Review
..but reasonably priced. They certainly don't do unecessary tests. I was disappointed once to see a girl waiting to have her cat put down. No one should have to wait for that. I'm quite certain others waiting wouldn't object to letting them go ahead. I would rather not be in the waiting room while someone is in tears. Brett isn't a bad guy - just a little on the cold side.Provided by Citysearch
if i could give less and a star i would. The older Dr. Tillou is a wonderful vet with tremendous bedside manner and actually cares about his job. His son however, is a well-endowed, entitled, self-righteous, jerk. I brought my parents dog there (having gone there for about 3 dogs and 25 years now) and he told me that ""next time i should bring someone of responsibility."" I'm 25 years old, and have been going there for as long as i can remember. If guy's son keeps this pace of in...view moredignation he will be out of business in a few years. Very sad really since Guy was such a wonderful person.
Oh and he wasn't just rude to me and my wife, he was rude to his assistants as well. Manhandled my 13 year old golden... Really nice.view less
The older Dr. Tillou is a nice man, very good as a vet. His son however is absolutely awful. I took our 18 year old dog in for advice and the younger Tillou had no bedside manner. He told me she had to be put to sleep. Given that I am disabled and on social security, I asked for the payments to be split between two ss checks. He said no; payment before procedure. So, wrote a check and it bounced. Now, I have been going to the elder Tillou for a couple of years without a history of non...view morepayment or bounced checks. I called and brought in half the payment. I was told that they would not release our dog's ashes until payment was made in full. We spent our first Thanksgiving in 18 years without her. A couple of days after I made the payment, the younger doctor called our home just to harass us. He told us we didn't deserve to have a dog or have her cremated. He said if we didn't show up the day I got my social security he'd dump her ashes. My wife was hysterical. He was heartless and cruel. A friend loaned us the rest of the money and I went in and asked for all our dogs records and her ashes. They were in a tin box. He stood there and stared at me and then turned and walked out of the area. And just to reinforce the heartlessness, we never received any kind of sympathy card from the practice. It was a horrible, horrible experience.view lessProvided by Citysearch
