my friend recomemnded this place almost a year ago. I always wanted to visit. finally i did and am so happy I did. so happy for everything they have done..

Worst hair coloring experience and the staff was not ready to admit the mistake. Moreover, they made an appointment for color redo and when I reached there, the stylist did not admit that she didn`t do the right job.The hair stylist (Ha.....) said that she did not apply the hair color in the area where I see grey hair and therefore I do not have a color there and then also justified it by saying that I had made an appointment only for a hair cut that day and not the color. I would like to ask why did she put the color if she did not have time for that and where then did she put the color? In my naturally black hair? Wasted my $100 on hair color and then buying the protective shampoo and conditioner.

Chrissy has been doing my hair forever. She knows what to do everytime I come in. I have gone to other places before I started going to Chrissy and everytime I went there I was always unhappy with the service, but when I go to Chrissy I'm always happy. I always get great service. When you go there ask for Chrissy and you will be happy you did.

I have fine, thin hair and can always trust Chrissy to choose the best style for me. She has given me excellent perms, colors and highlights. Her cuts and styling are impeccable and easy for me to manage at home. I also love the salon and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It takes me an hour to get to the salon, but the trip is well worth it. Keep up the great work Chrissy and Octagon!!!!!!

I've been going to see Sophia at the Octagon Spa and Salon for about 2 years now. She is an amazing sylist! I get my hair both cut and colored by her. She even does my brows and does an amazing job on all of it everytime. I tend to be a bit conservative when it comes to my hair and have never had it colored before seeing Sophia. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous the first time, but she did an great job and I continue to have her color my hair at every visit. Sophia really listens to what you want and then makes it happen. Not only is Sophia a great stylist, but she's very down to earth and really makes you feel comfortable during your visit. I sit down to get my hair cut and we'll just start talking and it's like talking to one of your girlfriends. I highly recomend Sophia to anyone looking for a cut, color, or any other styling service!

I would not recommended this place to anyone

This is by far the worst salon I have, in my 30years of getting my hair done, ever had the misfortune of going to. I wanted a simple color and highlighted streak in my hair. Should have taken a hour to a hour & 1/2 max. I was in the salon for 6 hours! And if that was not bad enough the blonde highlights were spotty with nasty orange bits in them and they still made me pay the full $175 for the services. I had to go back to get it "fixed" which was another 5 hours at the salon. The blonde was still spotted with orange bits and she ended up frying a couple big chunks of my hair completely off. I was very unhappy with it and all they offered me in way of saying sorry was a coupon for 25$ off my next service. As if I would go back to suffer through that nightmare again!

Vicki is good at doing what she does. I came to her with a really bad perm and color that i had no idea what i wanted to do with. I told vicki that i wanted my hair to be healthy and she helped me get my hair healthy,vicki wont use or have you buy any product that is not good for your hair. She gave me a amazing haircut and the color is great, she really knows what she doing, i felt that when i was in her hair she really listened to what i did and didnt like. So if you want amazing results and a stylist who listens to what you want go to vicki.

I have had my hair colored by Sophia many times, and every time I have been extremely pleased with the outcome. She listens to exactly what I want and follows through. I would definitely recommend her.

Great hours for those of us who need Sat & Sun appts. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Renni is great for new and creative (but not unprofessional)hairstyles. Everyone at the office always asks me who does my hair. Katie is a great massage therapist - can work out anything with as much or as little pressure as you like..

Vicki Millard has been cuttin my hair ever since my wife threatened to divorce me if I didn't stop going to those Chain hair cutting places like Great Cuts. She threatened to talk to a barber that massacred my head. I have a goofy head with cow licks. Vivki tames the beast and makes my wife happy. She has orders from my wife to not cut it too short. My wife goes to her also for color, cut and extensions. Vickie is very good at what she does. She keeps my hair looking great and my wife happy. I hate getting haircuts, but Vickie makes getting a haircut painless. She gets me in and out. Most important she makes my wife happy.

Vicki Millard is the best stylist I have every gone to. She is a professional in every since. She does my hair the way I like it done & makes me feel that I have been treated special. She will go above & beyond to make me feel uplifted & beautiful when I walk out the door.



She gives her all & continues to gain additional knowledge by attending hair demonstrations & classes to keep up with the modern

trends & products that best suite our needs. She is especially talented person & has foresight. She will organize photo shoots, not only for herself, but will include her fellow associates so their work can be published in international hair books. Vicki is a leader and adventurist. She is the one to see at Octagon!

I would highly recommend Vicky Millard for anyone interested in Hair extensions and color. I can assure you there is no better. She has given me the hair I used to admire on others. I cant enough good stuff about her. But she is very educated in all the extension lines, and she is incredibly helpful ahen it comes to explaining the differences. She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.

I have been to all of the salons in the Gurnee area and I have to say that the Octagon has most exceptional staff. My hair stylist is Kaye and I have never seen my hair in such great shape she does amazing work. Im incredibly happy with my look and the salon overall. If you live around the gurnee area Octagon is truly the place to go.

Octagon Spa and Salon is a gem of Lake County. I live 30 minutes away, but refuse to go anywhere else to get my hair done. My stylist, Vicki Millard, continues to be the best hair stylist I have come across. She listens to what you want and is also able to give you ideas on what works best for your hair. I always leave happy and excited to show off my new hair!!!

While I'm sure Octagon's staff are all top notch, the best hairstylist ever is Vicki Millard! She has such a knack at what she does. It's immeasurable talent, that's for sure! Vicki put an updo on my unmanageable hair and it looked gorgeous in pictures and I was told by so many people that it fit me perfectly! Thank Vicki!! I'd recommend you to anyone!!

Although I live in Mount Prospect, IL, I cannot find a better salon and moreover, a better stylist than Octagon Spa Salon and Vicki Millard. Vicki always does a great job on my hair. I continue to be pleased with her creativity and knowledge. I have had her cut my hair short and she has also aided me in my desire to grow my hair out long. I know when the time comes for me to change my style again, she will be the one to take my vision and improve it. A great salon with a great seasoned stylist!
