I've never been to Philadelphia so I can't rank this place by it's authenticity. I can however say that the food was just okay. The staff was very friendly, informative and I always enjoy being able to see my food prepared in front of me. Cheese Steak Deluxe My wife and I split a 12 inch sandwich w/ provolone and mayo. The bun had a nice softness and crunchiness to it and was served toppings up! Biting all ingredients at once made for a pleasant experience. As with any cheese steak though, the meat and toppings will fall out. When tasting the meat by itself, the experience was totally lost. The meat tasted very bland and could benefit from extra seasoning. As for that if you're a seasoning lover. The fires were just okay, but definitely nothing to write home about. Kids Chicken Tenders The chicken tenders were perfect. They were fried crunchy and had loads of flavor. They were fried on spot and extremely hot too so we had to allow them to cool off. Final Thought I'd have to give this place a second try to recommend.
The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was not short of that proposition either. I got the the grilled beef vermicelli, it was my first time trying the fish sauce and I actually like it a lot despite my loathe of seafood. I agree with the previous review that the place surprisingly not that crowded. But I later learned that it is relatively new, and of course it's hard to maintain a restaurant, in-spite of its shining diamond food, in such a tough economy. DEF DEF DEF recommend.
The Cheese-Steaks are hot, fresh and a bit bland. No matter how much onions and peppers you add, the basic steak mix is just not all that spicy flavorful like we expect around these parts. I think the issue is that I have hung out in NOLA too much and experienced some cajun sausage dishes that will make your hair stand up on end. So bring your favorite hot sauce and spice things up. The Cheese-Steaks are pretty damn good with some Tobasco sprinkled about
