Two year ago I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. The recommended drug regimen was unacceptable, so I turned to my friend and trainer, Val Williams. It is possible to wake up dormant cells and shock them into producing bone mass, if you are willing to do the work. Val put me on a three day a week Pilates workout schedule and introduced me to a strenuous running program. Leigh Willingham, the Registered Dietitian at Pilates by Val, designed my diet and supplement intake. I worked hard and complained non-stop. In February of this year, my bi-annual dexa-scan showed a complete reversal...NO OSTEOPOROSIS. In March of 2013, I will be 70 years old.

I fell in love with Pilates over a year ago at Pilates by Val. The mat classes and private equipment sessions are amazing and they will challenge any fitness ability. I'm exhilarated every time I step into the studio. My body and mind are both soothed and challenged with the workouts. The instructors are very educated in their field and are able to work with me on a personal level while still keeping the exercises fresh and fun. I love Pilates by Val!
