The Outdoorsman

Having dropped off my revolver back in December to get it sent to the manufacturer for a replacement part I was a bit surprised when I popped in in May to find it still sitting on the shelf of the dealer. No phone call that it had returned. A poor excuse that it was returned by the manufacturer who didn't have time to fix it.

Being from a law enforcement background, this was the worst thing someone could do with me. The honest would have been accepted much easier.

I will not do business here anymore.

Excellent customer service and knowledge. Good selection of new firearms and consignment firearms. I have purchased several guns from them and they are extremely helpful. The also generously support the local community at sportsman banquets and other events.

Been to the old outdoorsman in grover beach, and was not impressed, poor customer service, and very proud of their prices. Noticed a sign in Arroyo Grande, The Outdoorsman, under new ownership. I decided to give a look, and being under new ownership, what did I have to lose, at first, looking at the interior, was not too impressed, but it was a brand new business, so it was ok. Now the owners, wow, a total change from the old owners, definitely into customer service, made a customer feel right at home. So I was going to purchase a gun from my connection who has always beat out every dealer, and even ones in so and no cal. For laughs and giggles I decided to see what kind of price The Outdoorsman would charge, damn near knocked me out, over $100.00 less that my connection, along with the great customer service, a real winner. I also bought some accessories and even those were better that the on-line price places. I hope people find out about this little gem, and frequent it. My new hangout.

It's worth a visit... obviously, this guy is in demand as he is knowledgeable and you should expect a wait... but it is worth it. He carries virtually everything you need.

I've been to the Outdoorsman several times, but I'll never go back. The guy working there (owner?) comes across as unpleasant and suspicious, and it's like pulling teeth to get customer service. Life's too short to deal with that nonsense.
